A few days agoo I did my first withdraw from Full Tilt at the amount of $2000.
I didn`t withdraw any money in the past and therefor curious how long it would take to be at my account.
Did the withdraw with neteller and it was in my bankaccount within 2 days:):)
Had a BR. of over $5K, but noticed I played some games out of brm. so I decide to withdraw some of it to keep me play within my limits and also keep enough to play with.
I know it will prevent me from going up the limits I play in cash games and MTT, but I think it`s better this way, than loose a big amount of my roll by playing higher stakes.
For me I think it`s better to stay at the stakes where I play now, rather than overastimate my play and loose big time.
What`s your opinion of moving up or just withdraw?

Congrats in your cash out, very nice.

About Cash out or up levels, it depends on how you feel in the level your are, if feel comfortable there and you are doing good keep it there.

I play .25/.50NL ,so I think that doesn`t mean I have to quit playing that.
100NL is a bit out of BRM, and I don`t feel like playing this, for I`m not making enough at 25/50NL.
I did cash in some MTT, esp. in the OFC games that has big extra cash donated, so when you can get at the final table it`s really worth playing and earning some nice cash.

Provided your main reason for playing poker is enjoyment, you should stay doing what you are happy and successful at.

Nice cash, I say stick to what your comfortable with, if your not comfortable moving up there is no reason to, you would be playing with scared money, so better to cash out I would say.

I just cashed out for the first time from Full Tilt also, started from zero, cashed out $100 when I hit $150, already back to $130 a couple days later. This time Ill keep going, I just like cashing out free money. Cashed out of Players Only, bodog, and now Full Tilt, next up pokerstars all without depositing a dime.

You made a good move, this will def help you resist the temptations of higher stakes.

My question is, what did you start with? You had 5k but what did you deposit to grind to that? I think you did the right thing. The point of playing is making SOME money. Its fun to play but If you dont cash out sometime it really means nothing and youre just giving you cash away. Congrats on the funds and I wish you more success in the future.

I think if you're comfortable playing .25/.50nl and your win rate is fine, then 3,000 that you have left is more than enough. I would base your decision more on win rate/sample size/comfort/variance of your playing style than bankroll concerns, given the info.

I started in March 2008 and did know zip of poker, but just liked the game and gave it a try. I deposeted 3 times in the beginning (after going broke twice) for the total amount of $400 .
So after cashing out the $2K, I look at a total win of $1600 .
And still have a decent roll of $3700 (after cashing in the OFC yesterday).
That will be enough to play at the stakes that I do now, without the risk to loose big at the higher stakes.
I just like the game a lot, and not planning to try to moove up to gain some more cash. I think that`s not possible for me caus I don`t do a lot of reading pokerbooks or playing with a HUD and analysing my game and leaks.
I just play for the fun of it and trying to make some money. Got a decent job so I don`t have to be afraid of loosing little (if that would happen to me some day).
The only way I improved my game was to join CC ,reading a lot of posts in the handanalyses, and some great stuff that other members posted here, sharing their knowledge of the game.
Also playing against better players then myself in the CC-games, what improved my game so much!
So therefor I say thanks CC and members for making it possible even to win some money, instead of being a donating player for others .

First of all, way to go! That is awesome and definately what you should do. That is a great accomplishment. Second, way to go in the OFC, rock star! Geesh! And finally, it appears that there is a duplicate thread to this one posted by someone withdrawing $50,000. Wierd.... anyone else notice that?

Woah nice! I assume it was all profit. I wish I had the balls to play higher stakes, but I am not in a position to risk money.

I just took my money out of FT, and started an acct at Pokerstars, but realized it's impossible to clear even $10 bonus unless I play higher stakes, which I am not comfortable at. I probably could do alright, but one misstep is all it takes.

This story right here is why I signed up to CC. I take poker seriously and I want to someday make good money at it. While I do play for fun, my thinking is that it's a whole lot more fun to cash and increase your bankroll and profit from the game. Thanks for the story. It's stories like this one that should make bad/inexperienced players want to become good players and good players want to become great ones. :)

Very very nice. Someday I, like others in here have stated, hope to be at a point where I can withdraw some money. To take out 2K would be a dream and might actually gain a little respect from my family on the subject too. I have not had to deposit in a long time so that is great for me. I feel that for the most part I am a break even player and hopefully soon will break away from that and start making as little bit on a daily basis.

Congrats to you. Another success story from a CC member.

Congrats.
It's a good question you bring up that's been discussed before by FP i think. At what point do we stop moving up and start withdrawing. Some people never stop and end up getting to a point where they lose.

It sounds like you enjoy playing at your stakes and that's a great thing. I'd stay there, maybe take shots at 100NL if and when you feel the need and keep withdrawing. A nice little side income if I say so myself.

Good luck.
