I like poker. I DO NOT like lotteries.

Today, I sent a couple of suggestions to the 4 sites I have a membership with. Two of them offer SnG's called Double or Nothing and one Triple or Nothing. I really like these SnG's. Their format can be 6 or 8 or 10 table.

I want the other 2 sites to add these to their menu.

I would also like to see more standard time freezeout tourneys added with guarantees that equal the value of the turbo lotteries they now offer with unlimited rebuys and addons that are 2 or more times larger than the initial chip count without turbo time.

Not real hopeful on the 2nd item. Even most freerolls come with rebuys and addons. Seems the sites are full of ignorant fish who actually use them in freerolls. Ignorant simply means untaught. Uneducated. Stupidity indicates the severe lack of ability to learn. Spending real money on freerolls screams woeful need for poker math lessons of the most basic kind. IMHO... :icon_puke

The sites replied with there automated systems promising to get back to me soon. Hope it will be this year. :D

The double up SnG's are faster and as popular as regular SnG's. For some reason, some of the sites are charging 10% of the buyin for them. I will avoid these games as the move is simply GREED on their part. Any of you seeing these should protest the extra charge as well.

Took Friday and today off from the games other than sending my email. Couple of good sized freerolls coming up Sunday and Tuesday. Looking forward to them.

Turn my clock back tonight. DST = regular EST in the late fall here in Ohio. Maybe some walleye fishing next weekend.

Don't take any wooden nickles or let a stranger watch your chips if you use the bathroom. I am just saying... :) :D ;)

God bless.

...You don't like players that do things differently than you would. But that's poker and anyone can play how they want to play as long as it's not cheating.

You should be learning how to exploit these bad players.

I would also like to see more standard time freezeout tourneys added with guarantees that equal the value of the turbo lotteries they now offer with unlimited rebuys and addons that are 2 or more times larger than the initial chip count without turbo time.
...The reason why RB/A MTTs have guaranteed prize pools is because a) they attract more action and b) the more players that play and RB/A, the less overlay the site has to cover to meet the GTD prize pool.

Sites don't really get that in freezeouts, which is why they're usually not GTD prize pool games.

...I don't see what the issue is here or how using a re-buys and/or add-ons in a freeroll makes a player bad. Before I make any assumptions, can you please explain what is bad about this?

As a player that plays freerolls and takes the add-on each time, what poker math lesson am I in need of? Lets also assume I'm untaught, uneducated, and have a severe lack of ability to learn.
Above.

You seem to have developed some sensitivity in this area.

I said I DO NOT LIKE LOTTERIES. Read it again, more carefully this time. PEOPLE are not mentioned in that statement. Bad people? I did not say that. You did. It is the lottery odds I do not like. I simply want the poker sites to offer equal access to real poker games for those of us who don't like donking our chips away with all ins and then buying another pile.

The lesson is there. Any money spent on a freeroll takes the advantage of it being free out of the equation. It reduces the value of the prizepool. Same is true for any guaranteed tournament that starts with 50% of buy ins needed to equal the guarantee. 50% is value added. When buy ins and add ons are calculated the value added can become negative. Very few games add this money to the prize pool. It is added to buy ins to offset the guarantee.

Again, you have failed to grasp the meaning of the words you read. I HATE unlimited rebuys, add ons and turbo time limits. I DO NOT hate guaranteed games. I simply ask for freezeout games with equal guaranteed prize pools. I DID NOT say anything about eliminating the guaranteed turbo rebuy add on lottery games.

Part of the math is knowing that the rebuys and addons reduce the guarantee. This is only positive for them. Not us. Value... I know exactly why, today, these games are pushed and others are over priced. Their greed. If you like the disadvantages of these games, then play them. But DON'T get irritated by those who want no part of it.

FREE is what they are. When real money is used by players to stay in them then they ARE NO LONGER free. What is hard to understand about this? DONK players who go allin over and over in the first 2 levels should be gone when they bust. Not allowed to buy in over and over again to send money to the poker site and counterfeit the chips of those who don't spend money on FREErolls . IMHO...

I really do not expect us to agree on anything. You seem pretty well convinced already that I am completely wrong. That is okay. :fight:

You should continue to follow the path that seems right to you. :banghead:

The entire civilized world thought the world was flat until one man, Columbus, proved them wrong. All I ask is that I be allowed to choose my path as well. That was my message. Let me play real poker. These lotteries are MORE value for the poker sites, not the players. THAT is why there are so many of those. :sheep:

Long live true freeze outs... :congrats:

God bless.

Where are you going walleye fishing? Lake levels should be down by now for the fall. Been some good crappie fishing at Caesar's Creek this year. Good luck and catch your limit - on the lake and at the tables!

Huron pier in Huron, Ohio. Other piers w/i 50 miles also offer access to some great fall Lake Erie fishing. Walleye, perch and steelhead are being caught. Very good conditions a week ago. Stormy weather has moved in right now. Takes a day or 2 to settle once calm weather is back. Maybe on Saturday.

Thanks for the luck. God bless your efforts as well. :captain:

Greedy or not, they have their business strategy and I don't suppose we could do much to change that without massive support
