Hi all I sent the following email to bodog in regards to the companies stability as I was a little worried whether or not to bother depositing:

Dear Sir/Madam

As I understand and have been reading on many poker forums on the net over the past few weeks is the Bodog have apparently (correct me if I'm wrong) been in some financial difficulty since the cash seizure.

I am just enquiring whether or not a statement is going to be released in regards to the stability of bodog at this time.

Many poker players on the forums are speaking about many rumours which is forcing them to withdraw funds from bodog just in case they end up loosing their money.

The rumours which I have come across are:

1. Bodog is planning to back out of US market in the near future.

2. Bodog are going under and wont be around for much longer.

3. Players' cash outs are being with held.

If any of these are/are not true could you please clarify, as many players are really nervous about Bodog at present and I think it would be great if Bodog could release a statement of reassurance for all players.

What are your comments on this?

Thanks

James Godfrey

To this they replied as follows:

Hello James,

Bodog has been in business for many years and is very stable in our business endeavors. Players are now receiving their payouts in approximately 3 weeks via our Check by Courier payout option and even faster via other methods.

There were some issues surrounding payouts in the earlier months of this year, but that was only a small issue with a payment provider, and has now been resolved.

Bodog has never withheld funds from a single client, as the funds generated on our website, regardless of how they are required belong to the account holder. You will be paid out by one of our various options depending on your method of deposit.

There is no accuracy to the 3 rumors that you have listed below, and it is merely speculation from various people.

What we suggest is contacting one of our various departments with any questions, and if needed, asking to speak to a Supervisor.

We can be reached by calling 1-888-263-0000, and following the prompts to get to a specific department.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask,

Dylan P

I dont feel there is any reason why players should be worried about bodog, I think they are here to stay....

What are your thoughts???

I agree. There are a lot of rumors that fly around the internets. Kudos to you for going to the source. Bodog is a reputable site. I don't think there is anything to worry about.

I should add that I work closely with our Bodog rep, so should any of you have any questions, let me know, and I can forward them on to him.

I would certainly trust Bodog. I would expect them to be around for quite awhile. Now their lack of micro tournament availability has kept me from playing there much (I have about $12 in free winnings there). But if I were willing to deposit anywhere (funds are tight in today's economy) Bodog would certainly be in my top 5 candidate sites today.

I've been on Bodog for over a year now and haven't had any problems with any part of their site (I also use their sportsbook). All my payouts have been fairly timely and I've never had any problems with communications either.
