I only play FR NLHE, but I would suspect that the quickest way to earn VPPs would be to play some type of split game. Like PLO8. You'll get people cahsing both the high and the low and building nice pots to earn your VPPs from. Be warned though, PLO8, at least for me, is akin to pounding yourself over the head with a large hammer. If suck-outs tilt you, this is NOT the way to go.

Depends on the stakes really. If you're playing micro stakes like me, then you're looking at a lot of volume to make some decent vpp/fpps. If you have a decent bankroll and good play then obviously you will be playing higher limits and could be earning hundreds an hour.

SnGs again if you put in the volume and good at multi tabling you can probarly earn more vpps in micros. Obviously you're going to have to turn over a positive ROI or at least break even to make it worth while. As I keep swtiching between cash and SnGs etc I still don't know where I'm at. However I've recently started playing SnG's more and earned a fair old few vpps with a ROI of around 20%. Hoping to increase the number of tournaments I play along with my ROI. Over my last 500 SnGs of micro stake limits I've earned around $0.07 per game on average which is around $35.00 in profit.

You will earn the most Vpp's at PLO games as well as LHE cash games. A quick way to accumulate vpp's also is playing the 20-50bb cash games tables. For a quick reference you can check out FppPro website which gives a relatively accurate vpp/hand rate at most games and stake levels.
