Guy's

My writing skills aren't the best! but can you please read this e-mail I've drafted to Stars before I send it, and let me know if you understand what I'm trying to say and offer any help, thoughts, improvments etc before I send it.

Thanks

Stars Support

I just played T # 405436179 $3.30 rebuy to the Sunday Million. I play alot of these and they are high varience owing to the short stack rebuy nature of the game and I often rebuy 4 times plus the add on, this amounts to $15 plus a game, I have an edge in these games and am prepared to pay this, however in the last game as there were insufficient players to = $215 ( the Sun Mill BI) you guys decided to pay the top 15 players $12 each ... in all honesty this is a rubbish decission I'm out of pocket $3 with no chance to win the ticket ! and when you finshed the game I was high on the leader board.

If this had been made clear at the start of the T I'd have never added on.. just $3 down the pan. If you most do this ( which seems extremly unfair, being that players enter to win a tcket ... then they find there's non on offer) at least have 3 higher $$ prizes so the good players can finish without being out of pocket or work the $ prizes out based on ICM

I'm interested to hear you thoughts

Regards

Stars doing that in a rebuy is just plain stupid.

Hope you get something from them.

That didn't get me far

Anyone have any idea what my next step should be... if indeed you think a next step is req?

Hello Richard,

We are sorry you feel this way regarding the tournament payout
structure.

We understand where you are coming from and you are right, the
tournament lobby states:

"Prizes will be announced after registration closes and the
re-buy/add-on period is over"

However, if you take a look at the "Tournament Info" button, on
the "Awards Schedule" section, it does specify that one player
advances to the Sunday Million for every $215 in the prize pool
and that remaining funds in the prize poo; will be distributed as
$12.00 rebates, ans (if necessary) a single prize less than
$12.00.

We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause you,
but we are glad that we were able to clear it out.

Should you require further assistance in regard to this or any
other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

If it indeed did say that then I think you're out of luck and just didn't see that. In reality, it could be a profit from someone who didn't rebuy, so that really isn't of their concern(If you think about it, you could technically rebuy 75 times and win the whole thing and still be out money...)

Yeah looks like you may be SOL on this one.

Usually/in the past Stars has guaranteed one $215 seat, which was nearly always enough to stimulate enough entries/rebuys/addons to reach it.

How? There'd be over $215 in the prizepool & therefore a seat would be up for grabs.

OP, sucks to hear about the payout structure in those... wonder if that happens very often? (not enough buyins to reach the $215).

Because 75*$3 = $225, so even if you won, you'd be out $10 after taking the price of the seat. Really the numbers were just hypothetical.

Guess you could say this for every/any rebuy satellite (ie. $200 rebuy for MainEvent.... you could rebuy 100x & win a seat but be out large)

yea, that was kind of what I was getting at. You would be dumb as hell to do this, but it's possible.
