The reason I signed up with Dream poker was mostly for the 120% bonus and, to a lesser extent, CC's past freeroll. Before I signed up, I searched Dream's website for more details on the 120% bonus. I found just a little bit of info that was pretty vague. But I still thought "It couldn't be as tough as Titan's. Could it?" Well, now I have found that "Yes, it could."

At Dream Poker, I play half .05/.10 NLHE & half .10/.20 NLHE. I see no place to view my bonus status. Only "raked hands" are shown. Since June 15, it says I've played 309 "raked hands". My PokerTracker says I've played 1623 total hands. I guess the low stakes I play, combined with the fact that the majority of the tables with any players at my stakes are 6-player ones, means I'm avoiding rake quite a bit.

I got an email from them the other day when I had about 240 raked hands. It said I had 3 "points". I guess raked hands at different stakes count differently towards these points. You need a certain amount of points to get 25% of your bonus released. I think my next bonus release will be at 15 points to get $15. According to my calculations, I'll need to play approximately 1200 "raked hands" and 6315 total hands at my stakes to get $15. This still being only 25% of my bonus. If it took me 15 days to get 3 points, it should take me 75 total days to get 15 points. Just 60 more days. Just 285 more to clear the whole thing.

I refuse to play higher stakes just for the sake of clearing a bonus more quickly. So I guess I'll just have to lump it. Is it my fault for signing up without understanding the bonus structure? Or is it Dream Poker's fault for not explaining it better? Or a little bit of both? Well, I guess I'm not mad. Just disappointed.

Mr. Sticker,
I'm so sorry to hear about that. I know Dream poker, and most of the Prima sites are kind of vague about the rake.

I deposited way back in March at Pokertime and Chuck found this for me. http://pokertime.com/pointschallenge.asp?btag=PT_Direct. Now I am not totally sure if this would concern all the Prima sites. I know when I got my free $10. last year from Pokertime I had to make the deposit of min $20. and play raked hands at the minimum .25/.50 level to clear it.(100 raked hands at that level)

Again I am sorry to hear about the time and effort you put into trying to hit your bonus.

To clear Dream's $10 signup bonus you need 100 raked hands. . . It's ridiculous ....well I'm about 3 weeks in....and 2 hands away with $10 and change still in the BR. I just read the rules and it stated that you can't play any "flash casino" games. ...well. looks like I won't be cashin' the $10 out...one day I accidently hit the "online blackjack" button and played a hand that pushed....d'oh! I'll ask them to see either way...but I doubt they'll tell me I won't be able to cash it out until I deposit. doooooooooooooh!

UB has a 25% reload bonus now I believe....

The dreampoker site said:
*For the purpose of this Bonus, a raked hand is defined as any hand in which the player makes a contribution to the pot and the hand is raked subject to the player playing at a table with a minimum limit of $1.00 / $2.00.

It's contributed rake (i.e. you have to put some money in the pot for it to count as a 'raked' hand).

anyone know if they count tourney fees towards 'raked hand' points?
I've got to clear the funds I made in that dream FR we had, and really don't want to take $100 (my full BR there) to a single table of 1/2...

Bottom of the page ChuckTs

3.
Tournament play or activity on play money tables does not count towards your raked hand requirement

...you also need to deposit $50

Yeah, I noticed the "contributed rake" deal when looking at their page as well. What a jip.

If your any good at stud you could try some micro limit stud to clear it easy because of ante any pot with rake you get credited for.
