Deposited a while back and played a bit on there. Stopped playing and then later started back up. Reloaded DoylesRoom software and tried to sign on. Apparently my IP is near a banned state so they wouldst let me play.

They wanted me to send in proof of residency. I think my address along with my credit card deposit should be enough. (It was earlier this year.) I asked for a cash out over an over and they kept wanting me to pay the fees. It wasnt my fault that i cant play anymore!

Broke down and gathered proof of residency and sent it to them.

Logged on and started to play again. Then yesterday i got blocked again and again. Same error. They are blocking my IP again.

I contacted support and they wanted me to send proof of residency. Stupid.

Now i am back to trying to cash out. They shouldn't charge me a dime because it is their fault i cant play. Am i just SOL?

Do i have any recourse? They are like a broken record and want me to pay the fees.

Their software sucks. It must have changed. Their CS sucks too. They tell me to call them and i have, just to be on hold forever.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Suggestions?

My suggestion would be give the phone one more try. In person one on one works a whole lot better in most cases. I think email support is far to restrictive in most cases.
I suspect a real live person could solve your problem, or at least assure that you get your money back with no fees.

I've never personally played there, but I've had a few friends complain about it. Most of what I've heard is that it's confusing, hard to navigate, and that there's been confusion withdrawing funds. I'd be careful when using this site and make sure to scout it out to ensure that you understand everything before making a deposit there.

I played at Doyles room for quite a while. But when I got home from the hospital I had an email from them waiting for me. They said that there are 13 states that wouldn't allow us to play there anymore. Illinois was one of them. Damn that site was easy pickings. Many players from like sweden, Copenhagen, etc. Anyway, cashed out and got check in just 11 days.

What irks me is that they want me to pay the withdrawl charges.

I deposited money. The blocked me based on my IP location. I sent documentation that i am not in a banned state. They continue to block me and want me to pay the fees to release my funds.

I can't log on an play. I am afraid if i call i will be talking to someone that doesnt speak English well.

You don't mention how much you have in your BR and what the withdrawal fees are. If there's not too much seperating them i'd pay the fees, lick my wounds and say bye bye

It really is irrelevant. I deposited money to use their site. They have blocked me from playing even though i provided the necessary information.

Doyle has nice books and seems "sweet" (as my wife would say) but his poker room blows donkey.

I did try calling. I dont know where they are located but i couldnt get through and the hold music was breaking up so bad i couldnt hear 75% of it.

are you trying to receive a check? If so try to do ACH and if that doesn't work than yeah you probably have a serious problem, I think you might be able to get ACH to work, I'd be surprised if you couldn't.

As far as the network, the network is pretty good to me. If you liked the play on doyle'sroom, I would say when you get your money out of there transfer it to one of the following sites:

pokertime (don't deposit here if you plan on playing low stakes omaha alot from 10 max all the way up to 200 max)
Crazypoker
Pokerhost

All of those sites run on the same network and allow US players also. I think pokertime may have similar US regulations like doylesroom, so I would try crazy poker or poker host first plus crazy poker is running a 1k max match bonus and pokerhost is running a 2k max match bonus right now. I think you shouldnt have problems on those two sites.

As far as the navigation of the site, maybe its because I've been playing on the microgaming network/prima poker for the majority of my poker life, but the site is VERY easy to navigate to me. I may be biased in this, but I find the layout simple, and the thing is with every game room on the network the layout of the software is exactly the same aside from site specific game room themes and colors. So once you get one game room down you'll be relatively an expert at navigating any of the game rooms. I had to switch to doyles room for the moment myself, haven't tried to cash out yet, but I'm figuring I won't have a problem because I've made numerous withdrawals over the past month alone on pokertime (same network) through ACH with fees of $12 a pop, receiving my money in a range of 4-6 times consistently each time, I found it convenient.

I did meet someone recently that is NY and he said he cashed out , than had a problem actually depositing again, which is like the reverse of what you said, but he plays specifically on doyles room and he was able to cash out. I think his deposit problem had to do with a debit card he was trying to use that probably had a gaming restriction on it which is easy to work around. I'm figuring its definitely a state thing, so I would say be persistent you'll make it happen.

From a players perspective I'd definitely say stay on the network if you can, especially if you are a cash game hold em or omaha player, because the network is filled with fish and donkeys. At the same time there are some REAL GOOD PLAYERS on this network that don't play on any other poker rooms, and there are a few notable ones that play on other networks "tookurcookie" probably the most notable that plays on other sites. If you specialize in tournaments the tourneys are good, obviously not as good as say a pokerstars, but still good. So if you can get your money out of doyles room definitley consider some of the rooms I mentioned above and live chat with them before you sign up, let them know your problems. From a cash game standpoint its a great site, I don't think there is any compatible poker tracker for the network yet so you won't have to worry about players tracking you and getting that advantage either.

good luck with the cash out, give us some updates. Any other questions feel free to hit me up on aim or pm me

Never Played There

Sorry for your problems,

I cant give an opinion because I never played there. And, sounds like, I never will.

Thanks for sharing with us. May save us lots of problems.

I am on the verge of playing only on PokerStars. However, I have money in several accounts. Which, I probable will never see in any event.

Part of the problem probably lies in the fact that Doyle's Room is on the Prima/Microgaming network, which re-banned 13 states that they claim online poker (or more likely the associated Microgaming casinos) is illegal in. I got nipped by this issue as well, but haven't sent in my proof of residence yet since I don't have any funds on the site. I deposited and withdrew using eWalletXpress and never had to pay any fees, although I think someone from Doyle's Room called me to confirm my withdrawal. I wouldn't be surprised to see the site move to a different network, hopefully the Cake Network.

I made my cashout request on Nov 8, 2008 and NEVER saw a dime of it. I emailed support many times, no answer after the initial auto-response. What a rip-off

Speaking of Doyles, I just got a nice surprise. Don't know why. Email quote
"Congratulations, your bonus in the amount of $12.50 has been credited to your account and is immediately available to you. Simply login and enjoy your reward."
I deposited there three weeks ago and have been playing low ldollar hold-em.
Did't see any bonus when I deposited
