FTP is running a double points promotion next week provided you play more than 1 table.

http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/take-2

One of the advantages of online poker is the ability to play more than one table at a time. It’s a fun and easy way to double your excitement while playing at Full Tilt Poker. Take part in Take 2 at any time from 00:00 ET on Monday, January 26th to 23:59 ET on Sunday, February 1st and earn double Full Tilt Points by playing two ring-game tables at once.

If you’ve never multi-tabled before and playing two tables at once sounds difficult, don’t worry – our software has been designed to make playing more than one table easy. Participating in Take 2 is a great way to get your feet wet and experience the thrill of multi-tabling while earning double points at both tables. This means if you earn 60 points playing at Table A and 40 points playing at Table B, we’ll reward you with 100 bonus points for your play.

Even if you’re a seasoned multi-table player, you can still take advantage of Take 2 and earn double points at both tables.

FTP points are kind of worth crap, so it's not a huge promotion. But I wonder what will be the effect on the games. Will they get infested with regs or will it be a pleasure to see countless fishes struggling to 2-table instead of 1 ?

Fish love the happy hours. So, I think it's a good thing.

They want you to ignore the fact that you are doubling up your cash on the tables and doubling their rake. They may even get you to double your reloads this way.....

But do NOT forget that you are getting double POINTS ... :D

Probably depends on your game. Seems to be the case for razz.

I hate their happy hours and double points crap. I try to qualify for my Pokerlistings freeroll which is a nice freeroll with low entries. But they don't count points earned during happy hour or special promotions. Every time I try to play it is happy hour. And you have to manually keep up with any plain ol regular points you earn - it is a royal pain in the ass. I have given up on them for anything except Cardschat games.

well, at 100nl fr, the table vpip averages usually drop several percentage points during happy hour, and that's not a good thing.

Anyway, it it gets too nitty, i'll just go play on stars for a week. Good tables is a lot more +EV than the extra 0.1BB/100 or something like that double points are worth.

you can actually see the daily regular points properly listed in your ironman page.

and if you're using trulyfreepokertraining, you get your monthly regular points total listed in your stoxpoker and cardrunners dashboard. Well, until you reach 7000 points, but i guess you don't reach that.

Wow -thanks. You would think Fulltilt could have told me that when I sent them 3 emails asking how many regular points I had earned 1 week. (They were never able to tell me  )

One more thing to note on this particular "promotion" is that you must go to your promotions page, click the link for this 2X promo, and opt in. It's not automatic. Pretty cheesy and worthless promo but since I'll be playing multiple tables anyway, it's a might as well type thing.

I love the happy hour on ftp.
I make alot of fpp's on there and the fish are out of control.
If I play 4 sngs at one time I rack up the points and the money.

From what I've seen on FT if you play the $.10/$.25 NL tables during their happy hours there's a LOT more action than usual. If you're nice and patient (and can avoid the inevitable suckouts) you can make a lot on your premium hands.

fwiw, i'm playing on pokerstars this week. Looks like FT's 100nl is infested with nits and shortstackers this week. No fun.
