Ok first let me tell you a friend of mine was playing on Full Tilt and called me to have me watch this guy manchvegaspwn he was a total maniac all in every single hand, then we looked up his tournament stats on OPR and to our surprise this guy has cashed big several times. So I keep looking him up and he is always registered for a ton of tournaments. So I look and find him registered for the tournament I have pictured below and then I see the player below him mattvegaspwn, which is curious so I look up this guys stats and he has played in only 33 tournaments but he is also registered in a bunch of the same tournaments as the other guy. Is this something that should be brought to Full Tilts attention to look at?

Brother's, Best Friends, Room Mates, not really enough info to accuse them of possible collusion on a wild hair.

I definatly would not do anything until I watched them play. Just I have seen things like this before and turned out it was one person. In fact I when I first started playing online on pokerstars I played freerolls, and when i registered for one of the Hubbles I saw the same name like 10 times the only difference was each had a different # on the end, I was very curious about this and watch them all when the tournament started. And go figure all were sitting out but 1 and that guy would raise all in every hand and if he got knocked out then another one miracusly sat in, then that one would start raising all in he tripled up sat out and one of the others would sit in, nothing like making it obvious I emailed pokerstars about his and within like 10 minutes that name was removed from the tournament all of them LOL.

That is so strange, it would be such a pain in the ass to duplicate multiple programs like that, installing into a bunch of different folders and crap then launching all of them. That's really strange.

No he just logged out and registered each account then when he got knocked out he would log off and log back in as the next one.

There are many players that have more than one account...and esspecialy at the private freerol turnaments , they find out the password, and they log in with more than one account...
Anyway, that picture is not enough to accuse him...

Then I think you should also email full tilt about this player if you have the same proof! These things really disgust me and I hope they ban everyone who does such a thing...

You and me both, take a look at his stats on Official poker rankings. He has won $654,006 with a profit of $120,127 and his biggest cash is only $15,725 now not to say only but 654k in winnings and your largest is 15k.

Theoretically, you can play under 2 accounts at the same time. Just log in from multiple computers. My BF & I do this all the time, like in MTT freerolls or play money (yes, I told FT all about it, and they said it's fine STT and cash games would certainly not be if we sat at the same table). But I could have 5 laptops and do the same thing all by myself. Ten would be really pushing it. But given this guy's real-life bankroll, he could probably afford it. I'd imagine at stakes that high, he wasn't waiting to bust out before logging in under another account. lol It might be a friend or S.O./spouse in the same home, but if those tourneys are MTT's it's perfectly okay.

I can definitely say one thing, I wish I had a BR where I could enter that many tourneys!

Ditto dat.

Just alert FT. They will investigate and if anything in their much-more-extensive looksee rings up a problem, they will do something about it. They do take multiple accounts and such pretty seriously. Or so they say.

FYI, when I have reported suspicious stuff to PokerStars, they were happy that other customers were watching out. They can't check everything all the time.

That said, Manch is a very successful, known player. The other player is new and could well have appropriated the fun part of Manch's name. People do that, too.

MVP is a very well-known MTT player. He's one of the P5's regs. That might be one of his followers (who knows?.. he has many followers/railers & TONS of friends w the other MTT regs.).
He's also actually staked by another very well-known player and plays more volume than pretty much anybody.

So... "NO".. not suspcious at all. I'd get some facts before even suggesting something like this.

He is/was a midstakes buyin MTT player (I say was because he's moved up in buyins recently,... previously he played mostly $26-$75 range).
I'm not sure what his largest cash is..... but don't see how this has anything to do with what his total profits are in MTTs?????
He plays MASS VOLUME!!! HUGE AMOUNTS.
He is also backed (staked) by a very well-known player so do you honestly even think for one brief second that he'd be a multi-accounter??

Why would anyone dream of accusing someone of this with absolutely zero proof? (incidentally.... I'm DeepchapChopra online... & guess what.. there's a 'deepchap' and he's even from the same country!!! and another one named deepchop, & another named.... OsamaBeenChoppin...!!!!

His MTT profit is actually $192k (that's just on Fulltilt).

Thank you PO. That would be good. Seems like you know the guy, I trust your word. Others may need other evidence.

lol....

so what if they have the same name? do you honestly think that if they were colluding well they would make their names similar?

if they truely were attemping to collude in tourneys they would make different names that would not remotely resemble each other.

they are probably friends or something lol, or a poker club, who knows.

too funny tho thx for laughz

Probably friends or something. I don't think people would collude with such similar names..

I used to play a pc game, Diablo II, where I would multiaccount. It wasn't very hard to copy and open up miltiple copies of the same program, through a prog called sandbox, but you would have to have diff cd keys. They also had bots that you could use to MF or "magic find" for you, so you could get UBER LEET RUNES AND SOJS, or whatever lol.

But that was just a video game, an old one at that(still one of the best tho IMO).

To do this at a poker game, would be dumb, and I'm sure you would get caught sooner or later. And if people do do it, I doubt they would be stoopid enough to use the same name.

Hope you haven't contacted FT yet?
Wonderful thing google search
If you'd google'd both names you would have found out it's straight forward.

First glance it's suspect. probably down to playing at Winner-poker?

You've (OP) had more response on this site, you haven't got a reply on the other forum yet or is it plagiarism?

I don't need evidence. I just compared OPR pages. And then googled MVP. No question in my mind that the other player is a newbie wannabe.
