Just wondering if there is anyone on this forum who plays on the UK site Sky Poker. The software is ok'ish could be better, competition is loose and fishy at the micros. Nobody respects a standard 3x raise, so I have now switched to a default 4x raise pre. There are some issues however;

1) Pokertracker/HEM is NOT compatible - how much of a disadvantage would this be to my development. I've started making mental notes as well as proper notes on the opposition I have faced.

2) Table selection - ok so the amount of tables running is low compared to other sites, about 12 tables for 4nl. Sky poker does show you average pot, but it doesn't give the players/flop, which is important for table selection.

3) Should I consider switching sites to pokerstars, full tilt, 888 etc. I was playing 4nl as a newbie, but Im down about 5-6 BI's. I ideally wanted to start at 10nl cause I had a more than adequate bankroll for that level but thought I should learn the game properly then move up to 10nl/20nl.

4) Hand History - I've noticed that it only saves the last 500 hands. On hand history page, it has 50 pages with 10 entries each page. This wouldn't be ideal for reviewing our play.

Can anyone give me any advice?

Haven't heard of Sky Poker, nor is it on any of my frequently visited affiliates' links. Which network is it on? Might try it if im eligible for that free 10 bucks.

I play on Sky poker cos they have a few decent bonuses. The software is independant and has improved a lot over the years.
To be honest as a new player I would recommend 888 cos there are a lot of terrible players there,
Poker Tracker/HM also work there.
The software is a bit laggy but worth putting up with for the easy play.
It really is a matter of personal choice, why not try 888 and if you dont like it try PS or FT, there is no harm trying them all.
Really though forget how many games there are etc the bottom line is to find a site that you can win at and the rest will fall into place.
Both Sky and 888 have, in my opinion, far better bonuses etc for the micro player than either PS or FT.

I play at sky poker sometimes. I find the software is not the best but they are doing some upgrades in June.Play is quite soft and mainly UK players.888 is another good site, you could also try Titan.
