I think thats logical there was more promotions during summer, cause pokersites wants to attract people to stay at tables. Cause obviously, in summer, people play less poker cause there is a lot of other possibilities to do.

When economy get worse, poker player will be more. Because people will look for opportunity earn monkey. poker site may not has the same fell, because of over competition and new players prefer freeroll, that make poker sites earn nothing. even if some new player takes risk to buy-in,will kick out soon for short of poker skill.
How to keep new players should be more important than attract them.
