I saw that there is the dealt in method(everyone dealt a hand gets credit for rake, even if you dont even call the blind) and the contribution method(only get rake credit if you play the hand). What method seems to be more profitable do you guys think? I know it may be obvious, just wanting to hear your experience.

Dealt is better for tight players. Contributed is better for fishes.

On the other hand, dealt creates an incentive for rakeback pros who play a nitty break-evenish kind of poker but profit from the rakeback. That makes the sites using dealt rb like pokerstars and fulltilt nitfests compared to sites that use contributed rb. It's particularly a problem at pokerstars at stakes where you can aim for supernova+ (mostly 200nl). So the games are often juicier at contributed rb sites.

Im about to put 3k(won from bodog) on UB. Think they have contribution. Would probably prefer full tilt(more people and dealt rake) but I want to take advantage of the large deposit bonus on UB. And they have points to cash, which full tilt doesn't offer. Thinkin when I add all that up it would be a better bet for UB.

Sign up bonuses, cashed points, basically any monetary bonus you receive from a site will be deducted from the rake you earn. You will not receive your rake untill this money has been collected from your rake.
