What exactly is stopping people from making a new account every time they want to deposit? Is it just me, or is that a humungous loophole? I read about the offer today and couldn't believe my eyes.

Most sites do not allow one person to have multiple accounts.

yea not allowed more than one. and they see your address and in the way you deposit they would see your the same person as another account. They might track ip's too because otherwise couldnt u just deposit with visa all access cards? or maybe they would catch on.

Sounds like a good way to get yourself banned IMO...

I bet they've figured out ways to keep us all from doing this.

heh i actually did that back cpl years ago when i was first starting - had about 5 accounts at several sites

it was complicated though, had one neteller account for every different "person" and occasionally got calls from the sites (the ip thing)... u can always just say you live in a communal house or soemthing... liek a frat house or soemthing...

dunno i assume they have smartened up by now anyhow... and the bonuses now are so much weaker than they once were...

^^ It's called an IP address; all computers have 'em, all poker sites track 'em.

IPs aren't enough. My house has 5 adults, 6 computers behind one router, thereby all sharing the same external IP. And I've logged into sites from 3 different internet connections, meaning my user name has been used by 3 different IPs, some of which have had other users on the same sites logged in. My wife and I have played together behind the same IP at the same time on occasion.

MAC addresses are unique; each NIC has a different one I think, but sites wouldn't have access to that information. Even at that, my wife and I could be using the same computer at different times.

IP is one piece of information, but the name and address on your credit card or whatever you use to make your deposit would seem to be a better one.
