DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH POKERSTARS CURRENTLY, THEY HAVE NOT ENDORSED ANYTHING I SAY AND MAYBE EVEN WILL DISAGREE TO SOMETHING I SAY BUT I LOVE THEM TOO MUCH TO LET PEOPLE DISRESPECT THEM LIKE THIS.
If pokerstars needed a song right now in the forum world and common man's mind it should be this:

They are not corrupt, they are not rigged stop letting the media brainwash you.

If pokerstars was corrupt, then the media would be paid off by them to say they are not corrupt. Think for a minute just for f*** sake I tell to you who is corrupt even in May 2017 doinG filthy things.

888 http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk...-for-controlling-problem-gambling-177791.html

I tell you something you need to f***ing read this before you judge PS.

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/jul/31/business/la-fi-mo-pokerstars-full-tilt-20120731

they didn't have to pay a single person, the case was being drawn out relentlessly and they even saved their own rivals from going to white collar prison for fraud (full tilt was main rival of pokerstars at this time).

You don't understand a single thing about pokerstars' history if you call it corrupt it is the most beautifully dedicated poker site to truly spreading the love of GOOD poker and has FREE SCHOOL that is right free poker SCHOOL that doesn't teach simple thinking like 'four types' or 'hand odds' no it teaches you everything from bet sizing to blind stealing. You just don't get it.

Their RNG is the ONLY hardware-based RNG in entire poker online scene. All other poker sites use algorithm that is not truly random. Pokerstars uses physical things like your own mouse movement and a light going through a mirror that has 50/50 chance of blocking the light or the light going through. You have NO IDEA you DO NOT UNDERSTAND A SINGLE THING about poker when you say pokerstars is corrupt and rigging.

They are the ONLY poker site who will lock out an account they suspect of being a bot and demand video evidence of you playing ot prove you are not one if your stats thus far have suggested you are botting. they gain NOTHING other than INTEGRITY by doing so.

I will supply you some video and links to prove what I just said.

https://www.pokertube.com/article/pokerstars-cracks-down-on-bots

They were the pioneers of the zoom poker style (which okay 888 took in the form of 'snap' poker I believe) but pokerstars engineered it; it was a revolutionary concept that rendered HUDs FUTILE and helped phone/tablet users who didn't find it easy to multi-table to have a fast paced grinding session.

They are the most noble, lowest rake (yes I f***ing tell you PS is lowest rake don't listen to this brainwashing https://www.pokerstars.uk/poker/room/rake/) It sickens me how much biased nonsense people are posting against them.

Just to highlight the integrity of people bashing PS observe this invidiual:

Oh the shame, oh the shame... Says their favorite poker room is Ps, plays many daily freerolls there and then talks down to them like an ungrateful kid growing up to prosper and not taking care of their parents if the parents need their financial help.

"As of today, I am sad to report that my PokerStars Team Pro Online contract has expired and I have made the decision not to renew it.

In November, as I'm sure most of you know, Stars announced a number of unpopular changes to their VIP program (details here, if you're not familiar: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...-club-1568814/). There have been times when I have not seen eye to eye with PokerStars. I have vehemently opposed certain changes that were made or lobbied strongly in favor of changes which were not implemented. At the end of the day, though, I have always respected that those decisions were not mine to make and remained enthusiastic about endorsing the brand. This time is different. In the past, when I have disagreed with a PokerStars decision, it has been on practical matters of which goals are most important and which policies most effectively advance those goals. This time my disagreement is simpler, and deeper. I believe PokerStars is behaving unethically.

There's a lot not to like about these most recent changes and the way they've been communicated, but there's one aspect that I just can't accept. Announcing in November that players who earned Supernova and Supernova Elite status in 2015 will not receive the benefits they had expected in 2016 strikes me as dishonest and unfair. As a four time SNE, I know what it takes to rake 1M VPP in a year. It's a tough grind. For most of the players who do it, it is an all-consuming commitment more intense than most full time jobs. Many of them have relocated far from their homes and families to pursue it. Finding out, just as you approach the finish line, that your efforts will not be rewarded as you expected them to be is brutal. I cannot in good conscience continue to endorse a poker site that treats its players this way.
This is a difficult day for me and I'm truly sad to be parting ways like this with a company that I once held in such high regard. In 2012, when I first signed with PokerStars, it was one of my proudest moments in my career as a professional poker player. The PokerStars brand was beloved by the poker community and had a well established and well deserved reputation for treating its players well. I felt thrilled and honored to have my name associated with it. And for the most part, my time at the company has been a true honor and it has been an experience I'll always be grateful for. I've learned a lot about how the poker industry works, I've made good money, and I've had the opportunity to meet and work with incredible people, both other sponsored pros and PokerStars employees. I'm proud to call many of these people my friends and it hurts to know that I won't have the chance to work with them in the same way again.

I am, however, happy and relieved to now be able to speak candidly about the recent changes. I have every intention of responding to questions and I'm excited to join the ongoing conversation. Unfortunately, as I'm going to have to actually earn my living by winning at poker this year, I'm on the next flight to Manila. Please be patient with me if my responses come slowly and at irregular intervals. Happy new year, everyone!"

From my understanding, there is zero percent contract or 'promise' involve in the vip program in terms of longevity.

On the other hand, they have done EVERYTHING possible to be the most beneficial site to fish and keep fish coming back so yes, why would they feel the need to reward grinders when they already reward you with the softest online player pool there is.

This employee seriously quit because OTHER PEOPLE felt cheated. He was treated brilliantly as a low level employee within PS and has gained so much experience and joy from it. The friendliest and best team out there is team PS, Negreanu of course but all of them they are such friendly personalities.

Because the amount of fish decreases when you move up the stakes.
So as the stakes move up, the player pool gets tougher. So rakeback/rewards becomes one of the most important things for grinders.

Lets say you are a 25NL grinder. But you run a month break even after putting a considerable volume. But still you'll end up in decent profit because of rake back.
So when you cut out the rakeback, most of those players end up being loosers so they have no purpose to play.

What stars is trying to do is keep the money circling in the software until they slowly grind it out.

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/...emoving-regular-hu-tables-1588434/index7.html

I think people are greatly under estimating the precedent this sets for the future of online poker. It's not just about HeadsUp.

The ideal situation for Stars is that for every $1 deposited by a net losing player stars rakes $1. They are working on building an ecosystem where by all games are essentially unbeatable and are just another form of casino game such as blackjack. They already have unbeatable games spread at micro-low PLO, then they removed all rakeback for $5/10+, now they are trying to reduce edges in HU games.

What will happen with HU zoom is when a rec player sits the games will fill with enough regs who have an edge. So the 1 rec might sustain another 5 pros who all have to play vs each other. This dramitically decreases pros winrates. Next once they have a sample of the top winners at each limit of HU Zoom they wil most likely increase rake enough to nullify that edge. Thus rendering the game unbeatable and ensuring stars gets all the net losers money in rake.

Now some people such as 6 max regs might think this is a good change because your games will be fishier. However once they have finished with HU they will start on other games aswell. I'd imagine all ring games will go to zoom eventually since it eliminates seat scripting and 'predatory behaviour.' This will lower the 6 max edges even more and all they have to do then is to check a sample size of the last 500k hands at 6 max, find out the top 10% of regs are winning at say 5bb/100, increase rake to nullify that edge and voila, another unbeatable game where all deposits go to Stars.

Then for Mtts, im sure stars arent happy that a lot of people are taking milions out of the economy by being longterm profitable in these. They want the fish money for themselves! I'd imagine we will see a transition towards higher variance, jackpots, shallower stacks and faster structures. If that doesnt get the edge of the top winners down from say 20% roi to 1% then they can always just bump the rake up a touch for good measure.

I realise some of this may seem dramatic but this is the direction everything is heading currently. Stars have to show the shareholders how they can increase profitability constantly. This wont be the last change, the same as the VIP moneygrab wasn't.

This is why all players should be against these changes. If you're not then your game will probably be next.

In the same thread check out the quote on post #21. It's by the recent pokerstars online pro Spraggy. I like the dude. His stream is great. Was a HU NL grinder but now doing the stram with MTTs.

I'm done trying to explain this to you. You don't listen anyone's opinion or advice. Acting like you know everything.

Genius, at higher stakes Ps is the most popular site for a rich guy with money to spare to go to for a thrill.

You talk ill of Ps because you are jealous that it is so successful. No need to envy PS just because you grind PP, don't need to bully someone you envy need to TRY TO BE BETTER THAN THEM or JOIN THEM. One other other, this is life.

PS is the best and I don't hate them for it. The envy makes you feel bad things, I feel only joy with my love for them. :)

But I'm pretty sure a multi-million dollar corporation is not your mommy.

Company has multiple CEOs you probably mean the Chairman (the only one above a CEO but sometimes beneath a founder/owner if not one himself/herself)

For a grinder it's the hand that feeds you as you rise to riches. This is very much like what a parent was to a grown up kid who then doesn't help her out if she needs some help.

The poker player gains from having a place to play, the site benefits from the rake. There's nothing wrong with that.

But there's no sense in loving a corporation. It will never love you back.

If it stops benefitting from the arrangement they have with you, it will change the rules. That's exactly what has happened in the eyes of many pros.

In future very possible I work with PS in some sense not necessarily for them but with them in some sense.

No, something is wrong with your understanding of English.

Whoever has taught you English has taught wrong what 'favourite' means.

If I like someone more, it is better in my brain... If you have a favourite person you see him'her as the best person on Earth. You'd kill others to save them.
