Everyday I play and no matter the time or table somehow these two pop onto every waitlist. When my opponent leaves these two just sit there with the reserved seat until they are timed out. I have a feeling these two accounts are some sort of bot datamining script since I never see them playing ever. I sent an email to support but nothing seems to have been done about it. I am sure other regs at 50NL will be annoyed too.

If they're just datamining they don't need to be on the waitlist. More likely that they're 16 tabling and get seated at other tables before the ones you are noticing open up.

It's illegal but it's still very prevalent and will continue to be as long as they continue writing observed HH to your hard drive. I do not datamine, but I do collect observed hands while I am legitimately on waitlists. I use a separate observed hands db so I can easily get rid of them should FT ever make an issue of it.

I would expect that they'll change their practice of writing observed hhs at some point but until they do they're certainly not fighting very hard against the dataminers.

i look them up and they are not sitting on any tables. its purely get on WL, time out. Thats what bothers me about this.

In fact, right now 3:30pm EST.

PokerDiceG is on 10+ Waitinglists at 50NL HU but hes playing 0 games.

That is very odd but it still makes no sense for a dataminer to be on WLs. You can gather data just by observing tables.

Are these always HU tables they are on the WLs for?

I only have noticed him on HU50NL WL. I did a quick search over right now. But yeah it makes no sense to me either which is why it throws up flags. but its a constant thing between pokerdiceG and sergeyK

Both players in question at least have a few thousand hands at pokertableratings.com so they do at least play occasionally.

Streak statistics describe how often a player has "in the money" and "out of the money" streaks. For example,if a player has a 5 in the "2" column in the "Cash" row, that means the player has 5 instances of being in the money 2 times in a row. If you see a 10 in the "7" column in the "Non-Cash" row, that means the player has 10 instances of being out of the money 7 times in a row. For your convenience, we also list the longest "Non-Cash" streak that a player has experienced THIS IS WHAT BLUFFS DB HAS ON THIS GUY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

What in the world are you guys talking about? You are saying that there is a made up person who gets on a table and sits there as if they are holding up everything? That is messed up. Especially if they are slowing everything down!

Looks like FT got rid of this. I will keep my eyes peeled for a new account doing the same thing.

Well done, it looks like your tip off to FTP done the trick, good for you. There are various reasons for data-mining of this type. One of the reasons is that there are web sites out there that will SELL you data-mined information for your desired buy-in level at a fee suitable to that buy-in level. They grab the most recent HH's in this way and then sell it on at a profit. If there is $$$ to be made, these types of operations will always exist.
