Not a big deal but this registration usually opens at 5:45 and fills quickly. Today I just saw its open now. FYI if you play this one.

Daily Dollar doesn't fill quickly. It takes forever to fill up and there are a ton of late registrations.

I play 4 or 5 times a week and I've never seen it full. :)

Thanks, I just signed up.

Was it just me, or was the freeroll to the Daily Dollar gone the last couple of days? I couldn't find it. All I could find was the $0.25 satellite to the Daily Dollar. I hope my FTP filters weren't messed up.

Good luck in that one. Man, is it hard to build from 300 chips! I've only built it up once and even then I only got 400th place, far short of the 200 needed to win an entry.

Maybe I'll see you there!

Yep, it was gone for 2 days. Don't know why they opened registration early now, will just be more people sitting out.

Are we talking about two different tournaments?

The freeroll to the Daily Dollar fills quickly as does the freeroll to the Ferguson. However the actual Daily Dollar does not fill up like that.

Your welcome Dave, good luck. If you see a Stephen King looking clown with the name of Jarlith44, its not me.

The freeroll fills in a haeat beat. I have played a few of the tourneys and you don't have to rush to register. Antytime close to the start or a half hour after you should be good to go.

Thanks again guys! This place is great... you can always find out what's "going on" with these poker sites. :)

So anyone do any good in the freeroll to the daily dollar? I got all the way up to 375 chips (oh, ah) and then my AKs lost to 55 heads up. Oh well, I'd say that I couldn't have gotten my chips in with much better of a hand so what else could I do?

I'll try again tomorrow. If it's up there! Good luck to everyone!

I played in the tournament to the Daily Dollar several days ago for the first time. Those 300 chips don't last long, but I managed to get down to about #136 when they awarded all of us in the top 200 the ticket to the Daily Dollar!:D

Less than 100 left and I'm still in. This is the best I've ever done in this tourney out of probably 30 tries :)

It's sad the game I didn't want to run well in is the game I'm hitting. I'm 0 for 8 cashing in the miniftops and blew 200 bucks at the ftilt cash tables.

Out 45th as I turned 200 ftp into 20 bucks:cool: 1,080 paid out with 8178 players and I was always low stack. From like 2k players down I always had less than 10bb, but I managed to steal some blinds and win some timely double ups like with about 800 left allin with 39offsuit from smallblind to beat king8 as they called light and with 200 left I shove late pos after a limper with 78suited and crack AA. I won 1 while ahead KK vs acejack and then busted out aq vs 88. I maintained 6-10 bb throughout the itm game. Lucky to make 45th as it was a pay bump of 5 bucks:D

I rode a stack to about 3.5K in the first 20 min then took #1 son to MMA and got tied up. I don't know how this particular story ended.

That's great to know about it being back...I won the entry ticket just the other day...But fell in the Daily Dollar...#2997 of 8800! But hey, I was just so happy to be there, it wasn't a biggie! You're sooo right about all-in or fold ...I was lucky to get AA 1st hand so I advanced pretty quickly then! Had to enter the Daily Dollar late though because of the time it took to finally win the ticket!:D Take care!
Great game Joe!:)

Not for nothing, but since you guys are so smart, ummm...

Why are you even bothering with the daily dollar freeroll? It sounds like a lot of work for little reward. The Ferguson Freeroll's a whole lot easier. Just unregister and take the TD to the Daily Dollar. Might have to wait a day but still. It's easier and allows you to be patient.

Just saying.

I have not seen the freeroll to daily dollar the last couple of days either and to the person that says why play it...I have got that free dollar and it is good practice.

But good practice for what? For tournaments where 7k+ entrants start with 300 chips? How many of those are there?

I'm just saying, with The Ferguson the effort to reward ratio's better. Even with the regular old $100 freerolls it's better because you're at least going to win some real loot, just not a pile of it, still it's a minimum of 2 Daily Dollar buy-ins.

Short stack practice? Buy in short, it's real short stack practice since you're surrounded by much bigger stacks.

I'm just not getting how it's good practice. You could explain it, and I'd at least try to understand.

Just look at the format it's a short stack turbo!!! Who in their right mind would play a short stack turbo for real money on a regular basis? If they're rich they might play one every now and again for a diversion, but still...

Short stack = open up your starting hand requirements and be prepared to shove. Turbo = open up your starting hand requirements and be prepared to shove(because by being a turbo it pretty much automatically short stacks you even with 1500 chips).

So congratulations. You found the perfect way to practice for short stacked, all-in, shove-fests that pay the same prize over 200 places. It's not even good practice for The Daily Dollar which is what it's a satellite for.

I'm sorry, I just think you're all much smarter than that. Don't get me wrong, I think the dumbest freeroll on FTP has got to be that Phil Gordon Making The Final Table DVD one.

Look, if you say it's a fun diversion, that I'll buy. If you say it's good practice, you're gonna have to sell it harder. I'm just not buying it.

BTW the only reason I'm participating in this thread is because the title and OP were very misleading.

Nevertheless I still want to know why people actually want to ice skate uphill and backwards.
