I just want to inform everyone here never, ever try Club WPT. I saw the ad while watching the Bay 101 and thought eh, I will try it. Never know, I might satellite in to one of the big ones :) Signed up last night, the software wouldn't load on chrome or IE. I emailed their support. They advised me to delete cookies and history, uninstall adobe and reinstall it, then restart my computer. After I did this, I loaded it back up...same problem. I called support and Elizabeth got on the line. I told her the problem and kindly asked to cancel membership and refund. She rudely says, "you emailed support? I'm support, I get those emails, and I didn't get yours!" So I read her the email I received. She then says "And it didn't work?" Duh....So then she says, "I will cancel your membership and forward it to the department that handles this but I cannot guarantee you will get a refund according to the terms and conditions." I was like are you kidding me?? Your software doesn't work and you won't refund me. She was as rude as they come. Their call center is in Kansas and the company is in California.

STAY AWAY!!!

It used to be in the fine print that if you sent in a index card with your name and address on it each month(or something info, can't remember 100%), you would get your account for free each month.. not sure if that is still the case. When I tried it 3 years ago it had major, major lag to where it was unplayable.

Thanks for the useful information. We have to be careful. Now there are many kinds of online and live frauds.

$24.95/mo if you go monthly. They give you $6 savings if you do it quarterly and a $60 discount if you pay yearly. I went monthly to try it out. Couldn't even play a hand.

Or you could have sent in a 3x5 index card, and gotten it for free. No purchase necessary. Here is an excerpt from their TOS :

"
  1. You do not need to become a VIP member to participate in tournaments. Alternative means of tournament entry. OFFLINE, NO-PURCHASE-NECESSARY, METHOD OF ENTRY: As an alternate means of entry into Club tournaments, a member must:
    1. Register as a free, basic member and download and install the Software; and
    1. For each period that you want to participate in Club tournaments, each member must send a 3 inch x 5 inch card on which the member has legibly handwritten their Username, First and Last Name, Complete Mailing Address (e.g. Street, City, State, ZIP code), Email Address, and Date of Birth (each, a “Mail-In Registration”). Each Mail-In Registration must be placed in a single separate envelope, and mailed to 1920 Main Street, Suite 1150, Irvine, CA 92614. Multiple Mail-In Registrations in a single envelope are not acceptable. If multiple Mail-In Registrations are sent in a single envelope only one Mail-In Registration chosen in our sole discretion, will be processed. Kentucky residents may request postage reimbursement by writing "Please reimburse postage" on the 3 inch x 5 inch card. Reimbursement will be in the form of one first-class U.S. Postal Service postage stamp. No metered mail will be accepted. No photocopies, reproductions or facsimiles of the 3 inch x 5 inch card are allowed. The usage of a service to provide the production of the 3 inch x 5 inch card will not be allowed.
    1. For each individual Mail-In Registration, the member will be given a 30-day period to participate in Club tournaments. The period will begin on the Monday following the day the Mail-In Registration is processed. Limit one Mail-In Registration per person, per 30-day period. For clarification and the removal of doubt, once your 30-day period to participate in the Club tournaments expires, you will need to submit a new Mail-In Registration in order to obtain a new 30-day registration. We are not responsible for any lapses in registration.
    1. Approved Mail-In Registrations will receive Tournament Points and Play Chips in accordance with Section 1.4 above or will have access to any Tournament Points they have accumulated in the past if greater than 500 Tournament Points. Tournament Points accumulated during previous periods will remain with the member’s account.

Next time try to read the terms and conditon of the casino website that you want to put your stake with. That was harsh, but have you been able to get a refund? Or contact other representative? Their customer service representative is rude, and you should have file a complain. This the reason why some credible online casino gets a bad reputation. Thanks for the update, well atleast we have been warned and at the same time we are also gonna share it to our gals so that they won't be a victim.

Signed up to Club WPT and had no difficulty downloading their software. Played for about three weeks then cancelled. Their withdrawal conditions were severely restricted.

how much you deposit

How much did you deposit?

On club WPT you don't deposit money like you do on ACR. You pay for a membership I believe you pay so much a month to 3 or 6 months and a year. they give you chips to buy into tourneys. you play during the month to qualify to win a prize or win a free seat to a live event. But they also have a list of states that you have to live in for you be able to become a VIP member. And your chips that you use for the buy in. They give you so many chips for a day if you fall below that amount they add more chips to your account on the next day.

I just signed up to give it a try and am having not one issue on chrome. I don't like the web based set up but it's like the old UB software which was ok. Kind of cheesy, but it looks like some of the prizes and sat's are pretty cool. $25/mo (or index cards..or whatever) for safe play? Chance for some trips and stuff? I'll give it a shot for that price. I may hate it. But, when I look at the US player options and the fees associated with deposits and such....I'm leary is all. I'd love to plop down some cash at BOL (as that seems the most active site right now) but I've mostly just been freerolling and playing pennies with what I've won from those. This gives me an opportunity for a trip or something for less than a half a tank of gas.

Web Browsers and Club WPT...

You could have just used a different browser. I play using my iPad and your right it does not work with chrome but you can use puffin browser or Firefox and it will work perectly. Been playing on it for months without any issues.

I also play on my iPad. FYI-Firefox WILL NOT WORK because it doesn't support flash. I know, because I tried it after finding out that Safari, which doesn't support flash, wouldn't load the games. I'm using the Photon browser in order to play on ClubWPT, which you have to setup to accept flash. It's a pain in the butt, since the majority of today's websites aren't made using flash, which is a somewhat outdated program. Personally, I find the WPT sight looks very amateurish and the programmers should have made it more intuitive-similar to pokerstars, or any of the other "gaming" sites.

Just downloaded Puffin. It works much better than Photon. Getting around on the ClubWPT website is smoother and less aggravating. Much love for the insight...

my check bounced

I've been satisfied with clubwpt up until today. Software works most the time, I did win a pair of Monster headphones, and I've gotten checks from them over the past 2 years.

Today, heard from my bank. A payout check for $5 bounced.

I immediatly sent an email to clubwpt...that was two hours ago...no response.

Goodbye

i used a reloadable debit card to sign up. i had no problem with it and played until my trial was up and cancelled. the only prob. i found was A) not worth the price and B) you have to outlast 1-2000 donks and win the whole shabang to get any of the prizes. everyone there plays like jackasses.
