All I can say is that's awesome. I'd heard about it before, but never read much about it. Go Phil Ivey!

I am tempted to pick up The Professor, The Banker, and The Suicide King which describes the events.

craziness....100K/200K blinds - just craziness....

this reminds me of the guy who played on the 'high stakes poker' series.
I think he was owner of the lakers? Either way he was terrible...

One of the players who played him HU was Todd Brunson - they have a small story about it in SS2. He netted something like 7M in his first session? Sweeeeet jesus....

It is crazy... I actually found out about this 6 hours ago. It supposedly happened in Feb. but I just heard about it too. Take a look at Ivey's page on Wikep...It's funny, Beal said after he lost to Ivey, that he was "giving up poker". . lol

I have heard of the this story before, but not part two where he loses roughly 16Million to Phil Ivey. That is quite and accomplishment. Now Im sure the 16Million was divided between the corporation No? It was a group bankroll I believe Right? Anyway that is alot of money to win or lose.

That's pretty cool. I'd like to read the book written about the game.
