This is a tutorial on how to change your Full Tilt table backgrounds to any JPG image you want.

1) Open up your Full Tilt program folder (most likely will be C:\Program Files\full tilt poker)

2) Go to Graphics

3) Go to Table

4) If you like using the normal table style, open the Backgrounds folder. If you like using Racetrack, open RaceTrack

5) Inside either the Backgrounds or Racetrack folder, make a new folder (right click in your window, and click New Folder), and name it to whatever you wish.

6) Inside your new folder, paste your JPG image and make sure it is named Table

7) Go back to either your Backgrounds or RaceTrack folder (depending on which style you use), and open up the file called Backgrounds.ini. It should open in Notepad if it does, continue to Step 8; if not, right-click on the file, and go to Properties. In the properties window, find where it says "Opens with:" and click the "Change" button. Then select Notepad from the program list that appears.

8) At the top of the Backgrounds.ini file, you will notice some lines like Sys7="Stainless" ... go to the line just after the last "Sys" line, and type in "Sys9=(whatever your new folder was called)". e.g. if the folder you created was named "Mountains" you would type Sys9=Mountains.
  • Note: You can type whatever you want for the "Sys9=", but it is just easier to use the same name you used for your new folder.
9) Go to the very last line of the Backgrounds.ini file and type in the following:

[(Same thing you typed after Sys9=)]
MenuName="(Whatever you want to appear in your Full Tilt menu)"
Folder="(Whatever your new folder was called)"
FinalOnly=0
  • Be sure to include everything in bold, including the square brackets on the first line. Everything in italics should be filled in by you.
  • Note: You can change the "FinalOnly" attribute of the "Final" section from 1 to 0 if you would like to have the Final Table background available at all times.
10) Save and close Backgrounds.ini

Now all you have to do is close and re-open Full Tilt. If you did everything correctly, you will now have a new table option when you go to change your table background. Unfortunately, when you are playing, the actual table blocks out most of the background image, so much of your new background may not be visible. For this reason, save yourself the frustration and don't try to turn your family photos into your new Full Tilt background--most likely you will only see the edges of the picture.

Please note that from what I've found, only JPG images work (that means no BMP, GIF, or PNG). Also, if you some how mess up and can't seem to get it back to how it was, all you have to do is reinstall your Full Tilt software and everything will be back to normal.

If you need any help with doing this please ask. =)

Can a mod please edit step 1 to "C:\Program Files\Full Tilt Poker" and then delete this post. Couldn't figure out how to edit my own post. x_x

Easy fix.

To make the Full Tilt Poker Racetrack table transparent:

1) Go to this link:

http://images.wikia.com/poker/images/7/79/Transparent-794x547.png

(The page looks blank because it is supposed to be.)

2) Copy the file (right click, "save picture as") to a folder on your hard drive where you will be able to find it easily.

3) Find the file on your hard drive and rename the file "blanktableRT.png".

4) Copy (not move) this file to the folder in your Full Tilt Poker program folder with the path "Full Tilt Poker>Graphics>Table>Elements".

5) In the Elements folder, find the file named "tableRT.png" and move it to the same folder in which you have your first original "blanktableRT" file. Keep these files in case you ever want to switch them back.

6) In the Elements folder, rename "blanktableRT.png" to "tableRT.png".

7) Run Full Tilt and Viola! An invisible racetrack table! Keep in mind that if you use any of the included FTP racetrack layouts, FTP's green felt table is now invisible. Only the background will be seen. There are backgrounds available with tables drawn on them, if you prefer a table like I do.

Now all you have to do is close and re-open Full Tilt. If you did everything correctly, you will now have a new table option when you go to change your table background.

Actually, you dont have to close and re-open full tilt. Just right click and choose a backround, then right click and choose 'Table' and it should be your custom BG.

Yes you can. I realize this thread is old and you've probably figured this out by now. Just go to your appplicastion folder and control click on full tilt and then click on "Show Package Contents" and then follow the directions.

You have to open Backgrounds.ini in TextEdit to make the changes. I think the default program is Script Editor, but it doesn't work.
