Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had any more info on when the CEREUS Platform was going to be rolled out. UB's website has no information and most poker sites don't either. UB just sent out a newsletter today and I thought it would be in there, but NO! Thanks for any info!

theyre a little bit secretive about it. my key question: will we still have to maintain both AP and UB accts or would/could they be merged?

That is one thing that I have heard about, but I am not sure on the accuracy. I heard that if you have accounts on both with the same user name that you must change one of them. But if you own the username on one, say AP, and someone else has the same username on the other, say UB, then something about the person with the most seniority or something will get the name and the other will have to change it.
Like I said I am not sure how accurate this is, but I saw it somewhere.

I heard by one friend that they intend to merge them....We'll see about that soon i reckon

No.... UB and AP will still be two seperate pieces of software, however you could sit down at a table on UB and be playing against somebody that is actually logged into AP. They want to keep them both seperate and plan on doing so for a long time for the fact that some people might not feel "comfortable" going from one to another (even though in theory they will be one in the same).

Yes it is VERY odd that they are merging the networks, but not the platforms. They want the fields to be larger and make it a bigger network.

I think it makes a lot of sense that they are merging the networks just because that will skyrocket them up toward where pokerstars is with the amount of users that they have on the network at one time. According to MarketPulse - Online Poker Traffic Report - PokerListings.com , Pokerstars has the most cash games players at any given time, whereas UltimateBet and Absolute are ~9th and 10th. When they merge, they will have both of their numbers combined, moving them up to probably around 6th.

Maybe that higher ranking may in turn help them get more new users by the word of mouth as well....who knows?
