Have you guys heard about a new pokerstars feature? When players go all - in preflop they can both decide to cashout or play the board, if they both decide to cashout then the player with more equity gets more money and other less from the pot. I don't know if it is available on normal holdem but 6+ Holdem cash games has that feature. What you guys think about it? Cool feature or PokerStars wants to get more from rake?

I heard but I haven't seen it yet, it seems that it will only work in cash, I like this new proposal, it will increase the preflop action, and this about the rake is from the game, there is nothing to do

obviously only in cash games, for tournaments that would be a very very stupid option

Call me cynical, but I would bet that this is just another creative way Stars has found to suck even more rake out of the players. I don't think I'm interested....unless someone comes out with a good reason to play this variation! :)

Yeah, they charge a 1% fee, so you lose there - and if you cash out and villain doesn't, and your hand wins, Pokerstars keeps the pot.

My aces lost to kings this morning (waaaaah!) and I wondered if that might be a case where I'd want to cash out - a 1% fee to guarantee high equity is tempting...

Interested to hear more opinions!

This just smacks of Stars earning more rake whilst you get less when getting your money in good and more when you get it in bad. That's not poker. I won't be playing this format.

Pokerstars charges 1% for you to cash out your remaining equity from the pot without having the showdown. Personally ive turned it off i dont like this or the run it twice.

It's PokerStars Insurance Option they were testing a while back.

They charge 1% of what your equity portion of the pot is, and most hands will probably be less then 100% Eq value when the option is taken.
The time they offer it is when all action on the hand is complete, and no further action can be taken till showdown, before the river card is dealt.

They get what ever is left in the pot, after the cash-out if you win.

So if you "Cash-out" with 95% Eq in a $1000 pot , and win, Stars pulls rake ( say $10 ), you cashed-out ( $855 : $950co - $95opt ),
and Stars nets the rest.

Basically they make $155, $145 more than if the players would just let it ride, in this example. Yet another cash cow.
And I'm sure the software has been tweaked so bad beats happen less frequently, or when players equity cash-outs are near 50/50.

It seems to me that ps wants to get more rake, I don't see the long-term advantage for a player who uses this function.
Basically they allow you to get out of a hand in which you are discovered in chips and can charge you a 1% ratio on your probability of winning before the river.
Clear extra commission for PS that misrepresents the structure of the game itself.
They are also taking away the possibility of participating in the 5th street, something that mathematically favors them more than us.
Greetings.

I didn´t know of the 1% extra fee.. I thought this was just an extra feature with no extra charge

I think that Pokerstars currently isn t thinking about making it clients happy more than winning money, it s still the famous poker platform, and the one with most credibility. But thoses new games are full of luck , so you will win and lose , but most of times u will be losing .
