Signed up and deposited at Easyplay poker (merge network) a while ago for an OFC event. They then merged with Cashisking poker (ipoker network).

Then this:

mportant Notice: 22nd April 2010 17:30

It is with deep regret that the Management have to announce the closure of Cash is King Poker with immediate effect. This has been a very hard decision but due to circumstances beyond our control the Poker Room can no longer operate.

Players can email our Finance department, finance@cashiskingpoker.com, with your username and registered email address and withdrawals will be processed manually accordingly.

We would like to thank all the players who played with Cash is King Poker and hope you all find a new home to play poker.

The cashier page won't let me cashout via moneybookers, as I have never deposited using MB since they moved to ipoker. I'm certainly not in a hurry to deposit more money into this proverbial black hole in attempts to save what little is in there.

I've emailed support a couple times with no response. The live chat button in the client is permanently grayed out it seems. As far as I can tell, it looks like I would still be able to drop my money down on the tables.

I suppose the next step is to contact iPoker directly? I'm open to suggestions that might help retrieve my money ASAP!

We have to inform you that the Cash is King Poker Room is currently
going through a change of management and until this process has been
completed will temporarily be closed.

We will keep you posted with any developments.

A good sign I suppose...

Stick to the well known sites, those off the wall sites will get you.

Possibly. I've made real money deposits on no less than 40 differet sites/skins/etc in the last 5 years, and this is only the second time I've come close to getting burned.

40 sites? Are you kidding me? That seems like a heck of a lot. I see that you are from canada so i guess you have more options that americans. How has that worked out for you money wise as far as withdraws go?

Quite well, I use Moneybookers e-wallet for nearly every transaction. No fees for shuffling money to and from MB/poker sites. Withdrawals to my bank account via bank wire is also quite cheap (about $4 on Moneybookers end, plus $10-15 from intermediary bank charges).

I'm definitely a bonus chaser. Most of those 40 sites are skins of more or less reputable skins (Ongame, Cryptologic, iPoker, etc). But as always, sometimes these sites (even networks such as Crypto) have very boom-bust traffic, and after a while it's time to move on to the next network.
