Just recently re-activated my Moneybookers account & made a deposit on it via bankwire so it's all ready to go (mailing address has been verified, bank is verified). It's been a few days since my bankwire went through & now have funds in my Moneybookers account.

I realize in order to be able to withdraw funds from a site onto Moneybookers I'll need to deposit onto said site using Moneybookers. How long after making a deposit onto a site using Moneybookers will I be able to withdraw funds to Moneybookers? (keep in mind, these are not 'new' poker accounts on the sites as I've been playing on them for 3-5yrs. & will not be needing to wait while a deposit bonus is cleared). Just made my first deposit to one of my accounts this evening using Moneybookers & now I'm REALLY looking forward to making a withdrawl from same site, lol.

Next question: What's the minimum I can deposit onto intertops with Moneybookers in order to be able to withdraw back to Moneybookers shortly after (& again, how long will I need to wait between deposit > withdrawl?).

Needing to get all my poker accounts happening with Moneybookers as I'm wanting to finally get it together as far as being able to move my poker bankroll around. Looking forward to loading up some accounts so I'm rolled to play something decent & also for an easier avenue for withdrawling funds (I used to have an epassporte account & since then I've always just relied on player-to-player transfers for moving $'s around, & the odd cheque for a withdrawl). This has been long overdue but I'm a lazy ____ at times.

Hi Poker Orifice,

I can't speak for other sites, but pokerstars has a 48 hour delay on cashouts after deposits. You can request a cashout 48 hours after making a deposit.

Hope this helps!

Usual min deposit using Moneybookers is $10. Not sure what the minimum waiting time would be before you can withdraw, but I would imagine 48 hrs is somewhere in the ball park.
Be careful of trying to withdraw player to player transfers. Most sites do not allow it or ask that you earn x amount of points or rake before you can withdraw the money. I have ongoing problems with that right now and it does piss me off somewhat.

Yes that does help me out alot! Thanks Dylan.
Next question: If I only deposit ~$20, does it matter how much I withdrawl (ie. $1,000, $2,000)? (ie. on accounts where initial deposits were made with a MasterCardGiftCard (canada)).

Thanks Tino, but pretty much all of my player-to-player transfers were/are outgoing... not incoming (except on fulltiltpoker where I had a bunch of incoming)

You can definitely withdraw more than you intially deposit without issue . However, typically, you have to withdraw using the same method you initially deposited up to the amount you deposited. So, for example, if you deposited $100 with your credit card and wanted to withdraw $200, you would have to withdraw $100 back to your card and then you would have the option to withdraw the next $100 via a different method. However, I'm not familiar with the policy as it relates to gift cards.

If it's not clear from looking in your cashier, I'd recommend emailing support@pokerstars.com and asking them what your available withdrawal options are and explaining what you'd ideally like to be able to do. They should be able to help out.

Let me know if you have further questions or if something's not clear.

Pokerstars is one of the only sites where you have to wait 48hrs after a deposit to withdraw.

For example, when I play the CC games on Black Chip, I only want $5.50 on there but the min. deposit/withdrawal is $10. So I deposit $15.50 and withdraw $10 straight away. There's no problem with that.

What you may have a problem with is if you deposit say $50 onto a site with a card or neteller, you won't be able to withdraw to moneybookers until that $50 has been withdrawn to whatever method you put it on with first.

Yah actually none of the sites are giving me any hassle as far as needing to initially withdraw the same method I used to deposit... because I've used MasterCardGiftCard (which most sites have always taken... in Canada anyways).

I am having to go through more verification b.s. though so it's been taking awhile. I've only been able to get one withdrawl off of one site so far (deposited on 5 sites on the mar.7th). Took 4days to get my first one into MB (& was a small withdrawl...only ~2% of my roll).
Intertops has asked me to send in the very same stuff I sent in to them a few weeks ago when I asked to have my 'table limit' increased (which I sent in right away)... waited a couple days, & now they say it's 'pending' & will be for four days. Hopefully it goes faster the next time.

Thanks for posting your comments in this thread Mr. PokerStars VIP. I haven't deposited using Moneybookers on Stars yet, as I'm looking into actually putting a decent chunk on there as opposed to taking any off. tks though.

Have you ever tried making a withdrawal to cheque/wire transer off of moneybookers?

Because if you think about it, once you deposit on moneybookers they essentially lock you money up. Every site you deposit on, you have to withdraw that amount to moneybookers and nowhere else. So what about when you want to get some cash in hand? Seems you must use moneybookers' methods.

Has anyone actually made a withdrawal from moneybookers? How did it go?

good to hear...did they hit you up with all kinds of document requests?

That is pretty standard for basically every poker site. The amount that was deposited via moneybookers MUST be withdrawn to moneybookers, any amount over that can be withdrawn by other measures I believe.

Anyone ever received the cheque option?

Moneybookers has a system by which they directly credit your bank account. I have tried it and it worked at relatively nominal fees and the money was in my bank account in quick time. Good service by moneybookers.

Yes I have a similiar problem to this ^ on a site right now. Worst part was, support won't give me any specific amount I need to play first, before I can withdrawl. Instead they repeatedly say, "you can only receive transfers from another player so that you can play poker on our site".
I've written back a few times, saying stuff like "Ok.. great. So this weekend I'll play the $50 $10kguar. & the $215 $50k guar. Is this enough? I'm concerned because what happens if I cash on final table in one of these? Will I then be able to take my money off the site?"
They respond with very same answer... & actually the last email they sent to me they said that this was the last time they'd be discussing the matter with me! (lol.. they never answered any of my questions... I also asked for a phone number, preferring a non toll free number (because my phone doesn't work for toll free numbers). They didn't give me a number, lol.
Site I'm referring to is ACR. I should probably post it in an ACR thread in poker room section on forum but this comment above got me going, lol.

What method did you fund your Moneybookers with in the first place? Personally I sent a bankwire from my bank account & my account was verified by doing so.

I haven't withdrawn by cheque yet but am interested in that as well.

Was funny reading this thread before realizing I started it. Then reading over my earlier posts. I've easily done over 100 transactions on Moneybookers since then. How did I get by without it?

I initially funded my moneybookers account by depositing via visa gift card onto a poker room, then withdrew to moneybookers and ran it up from there. The bank account transfer didn't seem like a good option as I didn't feel comfortable giving out my personal banking info (for obvious reasons); if I was going to go that route I would create a new bank account solely for poker. But their cheque option seemed reasonable so I didn't see the need.

Agreed that moneybookers is amazing for moving cash around poker rooms, I also use it a lot.

And that player to player transfer bs you talk about is complete garbage (and also unrelated to this thread). I don't see how they can take cash-in-hand from someone and give it to someone else now as a 'bonus' that they have to clear. Some sites even have a time limit, and if you haven't cleared it by a certain time they remove it from your account and keep it (cough... 888), which is absurd. You would think ACR would at least give u a phone number to call. Couldn't find one on their site or via google?

Your input is much appreciated. They also however have the option to withdraw by cheque (at least in my country, maybe yours is different) and I am curious if anyone has used this feature and how it worked out?

On a side note, what's wrong with your phone... Can't call toll free #'s? Also remember you having issues before (re: PS Radio show, sry for the wound rehash). Sounds like time for an upgrade!

Seeing as you seem to want to derail.
My phone is a USA number but I live in B.C. It is a number via Skype!
I paid a one-time activation fee for the number. Now I pay <$5 per month, for unlimited FREE CALLS long distance, anywhere in NorthAmerica, 24hrs/day, 7days/wk. (we easily rack up 60hrs. of long distance each month). Price I'm paying for everything is approx. 1/10th the cost of a regular Telus landline here, with limited features & no long distance.
It goes thru a separate modem hooked up to my cable internet. Computer does not have to be turned on for phone to work.
I've also purchased a handset for it. The reception on this thing is incredible. I can go up 3 floors & to the opposite end of the building I'm in, go into an apt. and be in far back room behind many walls... & reception is still excellent! I can even take it outside & over to my neighbour's house across the street (distance of maybe 150'-200').

Do ya think I need an upgrade? Is there a better deal out there I can get my hands on?

Seems like you want to bring up a comment about the cellphone I was using awhile back (still using it actually). Not sure why? Do ya think this is buggin' me? (or is that the intention?.... if not then what is?).
It's a borrowed cellphone from a close friend. He's down in Calif for 6mos. & doesn't need it. I needed it because I let mine (which I rarely use) to my partner who has gone to visit her mother (because she has had another stroke & is dying). The borrowed phone was for emerg. calls from them, if they happened to be rushed to the hospital... I wanted to be informed.
I had it set so it would ring very loudly outside but unfortunately some other b.s. settings were clicked on as well (incl putting incoming calls on hold for some fk'd up reason??). This is the phone that Stars called me on that day... reason being, my number on my account was my cellphone (which I'd lent out) & can't give them my home phone because it is a US number (US area code). There's actually been pokersites I've been blocked from when signing up to them due to the USA area code phone number be auto-blocked via computer.

So there ya have it.

Question... back on topic.
How were you able to fund a Moneybookers account with a GiftCard? And if you funded poker account with GiftCard first instead, how were you able to withdrawl to Moneybookers from that account without having made a deposit via Moneybookers first? I'm asking because I wasn't able to do this when I signed up for my account. They would only take a personal credit card or a 'bank-wire'. I chose the bank-wire for obvious reasons (my bank account is now verified with them & I'm able to ship the moniezz back to my account from Moneybookers).
I'm just curious as to how you're able to do it (so that I can recommend that method to my friends in the future if they dont' want to bother going thru the bank-wire & address confirmation procedure... which can be quite lengthy... it took me almost 4wks. before my account on MB was good to go).

So it's unrelated to a thread I started, cuz it's adding to what someone else had mentioned a warning to me (Tino)... prior to myself having had any actual experience with what he was saying? I felt it was relevant... sorry if you didn't think so.
The b.s. I talk about is complete fact... as garbage as it may be. I still have hopes of getting my money from these a-holes but there has been other sites where I've gotten zero (with withdrawls pending for 4mos.+ lol)... one which I made a deposit onto just after starting this thread. Didn't think it would happen to me but yup, it did.

Umm no, that's a pretty sweet deal, although I'm sure there are some sacrifices over a standard landline (obviously far outweighed by the benefits for you).

Seems like you want to bring up a comment about the cellphone I was using awhile back (still using it actually). Not sure why? Do ya think this is buggin' me? (or is that the intention?.... if not then what is?).

No, I just remembered you had phone issues before aswell. I even apologized ahead of time for bringing it up if it was somehow still bugging you.

Now that I think of it, it went like this... Deposited onto Pokerstars with my mastercard (can't withdraw via Mastercard), then withdrew to my Moneybookers account (never made an initial deposit via moneybookers). Then I deposited to Intertops via moneybookers, donked off some $, then made a deposit to Intertops with a Visa gift card (didn't work at pokerstars), played with it a bit (Intertops might not allow withdrawals without playing..fyi), then withdrew to moneybookers. Been using it every since. Because I'm a micro player, I've never made a withdrawal through moneybookers (to actual cash) but I've managed to run my roll up a bit so I'm considering making a withdrawal via cheque in USD to Canada just to test it out and make sure it works with no hassle. Hence my asking if anyone had successfully done this before. Still waiting...:frown:

I love using moneybookers. I decided to get their mastercard so i can withdraw from pokerstars/fulltilt and instantly be able to use my funds with my moneybookers card. Think it charges about £1 to withdraw from an atm and free if you use in restaurants shops etc.
