can anybody explain how these merge sites work? are they all owned by same company? why can i not play one more than 1 at same time. i only play on poker.com...should i play on carbon instead? pokernuts has a promo on 365 bonitas...is this only offer there and not the others?

what about UB vs. AB...why can i only play on 1 site at a time. why dont they just make 1 site and delete the other?

You can't play on more than one site at the same time because the same games are running on both sites. For example-If I am on Carbon and playing in, say, their $50 freeroll as dd_decker, and you are on 365 Bonitas you will see me in the same freeroll. Same goes for cash games. I'll be on Carbon and you on Bonitas and we may be at the same cash game table. However, each site does have their own specific games that are not shared. Each site is called a "skin" and they are all on one network which uses the same software but are independently run. Maybe some CC members who know more about it will clarify it further for you...

That was clear enuff, i think, dd
Something like 70 sites/skins in the Merge network?
Tho of the three sites he mentioned, I believe that Carbon and PDC (poker.com) are the same site, exact same line-up of games, etc.

Carbon and PDC are almost, but not quite the same. They ran and might still be running the "Tweeter" freerolls on Carbon, but not on PDC. There may be other games specific to each site but they are pretty much the same. In fact, I'm guessing the name "Carbon" was chosen because it is a "carbon copy" of PDC. Not sure, but I've always felt that way because PDC has been around for a long time, and when Carbon came out it was, like, exactly the same , and It had me a bit confused too. :)

It is true of most (but not all) poker networks.
You cannot log in at Titan and at Winner in the ipoker network at same time from same computer either.

I was mis-informed and stand corrected

Never thought of that! You smart dude! Yes, PDC was first, and Carbon was (one of) the earliest to join them.

carbon and pdc(old poker.com) are 99% identical,
other skins are not 100% the same.

all skins share the most games(normal games/freerolls)
but privat and specials differ from skin to skin.

i got 5 merge skins where i play, the cc-games are on carbon/pdc and
on my aced skin where i play them from.

you only can play more than 1 merge skin at the same time if using more
than 1 computer !
but be aware that they will not allow you to be in the same game from 2 skins, and they got ways to track that !

some merge skins will allow 2 players play from the same household in
mtt but not in ring games/sng !

must ask permission for that.
my wife and me played both on pdc at the same time !
