I had dabbled around on carbon poker a couple years ago, every now and then I see a mention of them in a post on the forums. Are they still operating, and I think they were on the same network as lock poker. Any issues with them like I have seen with lock??? And do they still take US players if they are up and running still?

They are still around, although some long delayed payouts of late of maybe upwards of 3 months for some.

Yeah lock moved to the revo network, and then out on there own before crashing and burning .... granted they pretty much crashed and burned on the revo network and pretty much killed traffic on the network all together (although I hope to see the revo network like intertops rebound eventually, tops is a great site that now accepts all US players it seems although at one point was with invite only that changed).

Most US players frequent Bovada and the WPN network skins now, so like ACR/BCP and the other bunch of skins, as well as betonline and full flush although some reports of long cashout delays on full flush these days as well.

Have only heard good things about Bovada and WPN though so would deff be my recommendations if you are looking at getting back into playing online. Bovada is anonymous tables while wpn is good to go with a hud if you have pt or hm without any additional addon 3rd party Apps.

Should be some reviews on the pokersites here as well:
https://www.cardschat.com/poker-site-reviews.php

CC has a freeroll on full flush on monday nights if you sign up via their link, and for the freeroll club members there is a tuesday night and thursday night game (typically tuesday was BCP, thursday was ACR but you can play from either or now but not both at the same time.... so can play both from ACR if you wish for example). We also have a betonline freeroll on wednesday nights that any member of 15+ posts can sign up for.

Think that covers everything I can blurt out atm re the pokersites in the US.

Thanks bluff, I have accounts on Betonline, ACR and full flush. I have looked at bovada but have not signed up there as of yet. Once I find the site that has the best options for SnG games, (and has them starting at low BI) I will probably make a small deposit there. But I will also be active on the places that CC has games on, may try to build up a small BR on those sites from free rolls!

Yes they are still running but I would say no as to trustworthy, seeing they are licensed in Curacao and I believe that at least a good percentage of the stories I hear about not receiving funds are true.

That said, there are edit: networks like WPN and edit: networks like Revolution who are licensed there who do send players their money. Although I heard Revolution wants you to play to release the money these could be isolated cases where no deposit was made.

It is sad how some of these networks / sites turned out. Merge - Cake - Tilt - are a small fraction of what they use to be. Merge use to be my favourite site to play on. The 14 days of $500 freerolls for first deposit was probably the best first deposit bonus on any network.

Plus the updates these sites do are more like downgrades imo. Give me Cake and Merge poker client from 5-6 years ago over their current one.

How long have you been absent ?

The site itself is no where near what it use to be. Which is why I added it to my examples.

It also does not allow US play at all.

Yeah I knew it stopped allowing US players, and I've been absent for a few years lol! Last I knew it was still one of the better sites and I even had a very small br on it before Black Friday

Sigh...never did get my money out of FT after black Friday. Had spun 0 up to $750+. Oh well. Bovada and ACR seem good for US players. Haven't heard much about Carbon lately...usually not a good sign.

I lost all nerves with Carbon support...I had there 50 USD but for skrill withdraw you must have 100 USD. So I made deposit with my skrill account to have more than 100 USD. Later, when I wanted to make a withdraw they wrote me..."we are no longer able to provide Skrill as a Withdrawal Solution". So you can make a withdraw but u can't make a withdraw with same skrill, it is so riddicilous.
Now I have to make 400 USD more and I will make a withdraw via Bank wire...I hope :p

The actual gameplay is ridiculous a lot of the time. For example, if there's only one card in the entire deck to get for them to win, they always get it on the river, it's kind of ridiculous.

They are lame, they truly are...I was waiting for my last withdrawal to be processed for 4 months last time and just recently i decided to ask them how long do they take to process a withdrawal via bank wire now, hoping for more acceptable time frame...And just like before, 3-5 weeks and that's just officially, unofficially you are likely to wait a lot more...

I have to say this...I finally got paid :). I received email that they will pay me to the skrill manually. I just confirmed that my skrill account is still active and I received money in 3 days.
So, Carbon poker is still working properly but I'm done with this poker room.

I just requested a $355 withdrawal - crossing my fingers - will let you all know how it goes!

More and more people that prefer withdrawing through Skrill will eventually stop playing at Carbon Poker.

Please keep us posted on this, please. I have been contemplating making a withdrawal for the majority of my balance there. But have been putting it off since wait times have been lengthy, from what I have been reading online. .. I was/am hoping Carbon would turn it around and have continued to bet in their sportsbook as I wait for withdrawal time frames to rebound. This has ended up costing me a few dollars and a longer wait then if I just requested months ago.:(

carbon recently abolished the easy 'notes ' you could take by clicking on your opponent's icon . the spokesperson claimed it was to make the game similar to a live casino poker table , where players don't record notes . i am fuming since I lost years of information ! yet they promote their own data tracking HUD system . very curious .
