Something I just stumbled upon and seems pretty interesting to me.

It is basically a series of 6 tournaments, SnG's, where you can start at the first level and win your way towards the last level and potentially cash pretty nicely. Obviously, you can always directly buy into the tournaments, rather than win your way in.

Step & Go Prize Breakdown

Step 1 – 1st place receives a step 2 ticket; 2nd, 3rd place receive a step 1 ticket; 4th place receive $1.03 cash.
Step 2 – 1st, 2nd place receive a step 3 ticket; 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, place receive a step 2 ticket; 7th place receives a step 1 ticket; 8th place receives $0.26 cash.
Step 3 – 1st, 2nd place receive a step 4 ticket; 3rd place receives a step 3 ticket; 4th, 5th place receive a step 2 ticket; 6th, 7th, 8th place receive a step 1 ticket; 9th place receives $0.23 cash.
Step 4 – 1st, 2nd, 3rd place receive a step 5 ticket; 4th, 5th place receive a step 4 ticket; 6th, 7th place receive a step 3 ticket; 8th place receives a step 1 ticket; 9th place receives $1.09 cash.
Step 5 – 1st, 2nd, 3rd receive a step 6 ticket; 4th, 5th receive a step 5 ticket; 6th receives a step 4 ticket; 7th receives a step 3 ticket; 8th receives a step 2 ticket; 9th receives $3.00 cash.
Step 6 – 1st receives $250 in cash; 2nd receives $160 in cash; 3rd receives $130 in cash; 4th receives $110 in cash; 5th receives $85 in cash; 6th receives $70 in cash; 7th receives a step 5 ticket; 8th receives a step 4 ticket; 9th receives a step 3 ticket.

***One thing I'm curious about is if you still get poker points every time you use one of the tickets you win. You could potentially get stuck in the middle levels winning tickets over and over and just bank poker points... Curious and interested...

I have played 3 of the Step SNG.

one thing I want to add is that

if you win a step 2 ticket , which is worth 5.5 bucks, you could also use this ticket to buy what ever tournament with the entry fee 5.5, or even SNG with 5.5 buyin.

In general, you don't need to play straightforward step SNG for cash prize, you also could use step ticket to play MTT or real money buyin SNG, HU, Sat for cash out.

Did you accumulate the points for using the tickets over and over within the series?

The most important thing about the step & go's is to the win the first step otherwise you 'll be stuck in step one forever. Steps 2-5 is basically secure a 2nd place finish and your guaranteed money in the 6 and final step.

If you have a tiny bankroll then I suggest you keep going all the way to step 6. In step 6, if you've enter using the $109 coupon, is basically a freeroll assuming you finish 6th or better.

Yes I did...

using coupons to play tourney or SNG equals to using your bankroll to buy it.

so same points here.

Yes agree!

the most important one is to WIN 1st in step 1 SNG.

since 1st win 5.5 ticket,
2nd and 3rd are barely the same coupons.
4th is more or less 1.0X bucks

so only 1st in step 1 means something.

even though I'm still on my first deposit, I am down, so maybe I should try these.
