I hope none of you have had to endure the Carbon Poker Sanity test. I am in the midst and I think I'm about to fail. It started a long time ago and it goes like this (I shall try and keep it as short as possible) - Carbon Poker caught my interest some time ago while it was still quite new, I made a small deposit to test the waters but it didn't take my fancy due to low traffic volume. Fast forward to a few weeks back, on a recommendation I went back, deposited another small amount via neteller. However it had improved only slightly imo, not enough to warrant long term commitment and the software upgrade didn't improve things so put in a withdrawal request. Nothing happened, when emailed they said I have to submit verification documents. Downloaded their form, sign it scan it, scan UK driving licence both sides, upload the files. Did all that, waited again, emailed again, reply came back "You must complete and upload verification documents"!! Replied, said I had done all that but attached the files again to the email - and waited. emailed them again, somewhat testily this time. Reply came back, you must send copy of your visa card ending xxx (which must have been when I originally deposited all that time ago). Emailed them again saying that that card had now expired and had been destroyed. Reply came back this morning. "Withdrawal request denied. You must complete and upload all requested documents"
The sum involved which Carbon Poker seem desperate to hang on to amounts to the mighty sum of just $38!
Well, I surrender, they've won! To save what little sanity remains I shall go back to Carbon, splash that $38 dollars around in crazy plays and let other players have it rather than let Carbon keep it.

You should have verified your account when you first deposited.

People like you crack me up. You get all pissed off because of security restrictions that these sites put in place to ensure that your money is safe, when if you would just take care of it earlier on and not the moment that you want to withdrawal, then it would be no big deal. It's your own damn fault, not the poker sites'.

And by the way, just about every site out there now has these security verification procedures...

Hey maybe i can help you filled out the form completely and in his own hand?

In your case like mine, i used Neteller in the "Credit Card" you should just fill in N / A and not with the data from your NETELLER Card ...

I did it and 72 hours working my withdrawal was approved, after completing this verification process, the withdrawals are approved in 24 working

I have helped :)

The min withdraw limit should equal to min deposit limit otherwise it's a BS policy.

Stating something is BS on the fact that you don't agree with it doesn't actually make it BS does it:confused:  ...Also I'd like to point out that there use to be (I'm not sure if it still is), a Fee for with-drawling the min amounts (Not sure if it's still apply s to today's markets or not (The fee use to be $15), not sure if it still is or not...So if you withdrawl the min which is $100 then your only getting $85

Charging for withdrawing is even more BS. If there is processing fee it should apply for deposit too. A site charges a fee and someone like you agree does not makes it right.

I filled out all the verification forms and sent all documents required and it took 4 weeks for Carbon Poker to get my account verified. After not hearing back from the support team for days I resent the forms 5 more times over the next weeks without a single reply. They never even sent me a notice to say my account was verified. After many weeks of attempts to play tournaments, one day my account was verified and I have had full access since.

Well then your one of the honest people on the net because last I recall netteller was banned from North America...I'm assuming OP is trying to with drawl via check (Could be wrong), and if that's the case then there is a fee for it...As for the net teller thing it is banned from North America (Too many people getting money spotted too them and not paying back the fees)

Sorry, i'm a player from outside the United States, i did not know that NETELLER was completely banned in the United States, in some countries NETELLER is still accepted with restrictions, but actually in the United States it is forbidden to residents and also non-residents traveling within the United States

I don't understand why you're so mad because the minimum requirement for withdrawal has always been $100 + the $15 fee (depending on your vip level it can be lower). You should have read the find print before you made a deposit.

Yep, no one to blame but yourself if you don't read the site's policies before you decide to send them your money. If you don't agree with their policies, don't deposit.

You are all missing the point. I did complete all the documents as requested. Carbon Poker Carbon Poker repeatedly asked for the documents that had been uploaded twice and then asked for a copy of a credit card that had expired - a fact which their records should have indicated. I had no objection to the terms, just their handling of a simple transaction. Two other points of interest. min withdrawal is $10. 888 Poker don't request documentation for Neteller deposits & poker stars verification took just half a day.In any case I received the following email this morning
Thank you for contacting us.
Let me apologize for the previous e-mail.

I had the same trouble with Carbon verification and like you I got it sorted out in the end.
It always makes me laugh, you never have to verify your account when you want to deposit money but as soon as you want to withdraw you have to jump through hoops, funny that

@OP, my bit above was not directed at you, but at others in this thread who apparently have issues with Carbon's policies. As to why you had such trouble verifying your account and had to repeatedly send the info......well....I never said that they were competant, just that their policies are clearly stated. Anyway, glad it seems to be working out for you, finally.

In all fairness, he had never tried to withdraw before so he was unaware that there even was this crazy verification process for withdrawals.

let me give you all a perspective from someone who has worked for many years on the other side. I worked in the security department of a major software provider that develops both casino and poker platforms... their poker network is one of the biggest. I now consult for internet casinos and poker rooms on their security procedures.

These policies, although absolutely necessary, are designed in such a way as to make it as difficult as possible for you to make a withdrawal. No site wants you to take out money, they want you to keep it there and rake it off.

The ideal place to get documents would be at the point where you make your first attempt to deposit, but internet deposits are very spontaneous so if you tell someone they have to send documents first you will lose them to another site.

Therefore sites realise that the best place for them to ask is on first withdrawal. First you increase your chances of receiving documents 100 fold over the previous option, since the customer now wants to take money out. Plus, as previously mentioned, you might actually deter people from making a withdrawal (and many people do decline to send documents and end up losing all back).

Sigh......

I remember using my Neteller card at the grocery store... Was so easy to move poker money around and even easier to cash out.

Sigh... sure do miss the good old days
