I use Carbon and so far they seem on the level, haven't withdrawn anything yet, but I heard they where good about it. I made my initial deposit through Western Union ( because my bank auto rejects any gaming site ) and aside from a small issue ( I filled out the form wrong ) Carbon still credited me and let me play while it was being revised.
Now I do honestly feel there are good and bad things about Carbon overall, first problem I have is the insanely long open reg for tournaments ( 3 and half hours, longest I was in was 5 and half hours ) but this seems to be the norm with most sites. Two there is no logical scale of sng limits ( I think the highest it goes is $11; where as the dng's go to $60; husngs even higher ) as well as no cash heads up options. Three I won a satalite to the nightly $11 that started at 6, my satalite finished at 8 and they threw me in the 6pm ( yea! I get to play off 8 BB's and back in the in the day on stars of you won one those and the nightly one had already started you got put into the next nights tournament. And four, no
wsop qualifiers, or live events for that matter, no WPT, no EPT, nothing, nadda, what the hell is that about? For such a tournament focused site, ya know? That's pretty much all the bad stuff that comes to mind.
Now the things the get right, their customer service is 24/7 and they are on the ball with that. Two their monthly promotions are pretty good, with variety and extra bonuses almost every month. Three, there is usually always a full on MTT going on. Either knockouts or rebuys or whatever. I can quite literally play full MTT's all day on there. And four, the have have a free stat tracker as well as a free subscription to drag the bar.
Overall Carbon is a solid alternative for us in the states, but it seems to be all about the MTT's, seriously their cash games rarely have more than 100/200 players across full ring and six max at peak hours. I am honestly thinking about switching to America's Card Room, I heard they surpassed Carbons player pool numbers and they are more versitle. Not that I would close out Carbon, just want to maximize my coverage and time.
