My best was 3rd/1500 in HORSE but I havent played there in ages. Your best option imo is to play LAG because the blinds increase super fast (7 min)

won 7 off them all NHLE including a 10K freeroll with 3K players
also cashed in another 30+ games including a final table in the old 50K
monthly freeroll they had in the good times.

wins where 1 time a 10K 2 times a 1K 3 times a 200 and 1 time a 500

my tactic is very agressif in the start so i get a decent chiplead on my table, after that i play LAG .
i start aggressif because not want to waste a lot of time in a freeroll to end somewhere in the middle masses.

with a decent chipstack from the start i can dominate the table i play on.
and if not get a decent stack quick than i am out quick not wasting to much time

Won a few time

Came in 2th once, 3th a couple of time, 4th a couple of time, place in 5th,6th, 8th, 10th once too but never first.
I say you play tight first and then late in the game, play loose. That's the way I played, but I haven't place top ten in a while. Been to inpatient of late. Need to find my groove again. Patience is also the key.

I have. Carbon has lots of bad beats, so you need to be aggressive. The new CC structure requires a lot more patience, though.

The best I've done on Carbon is 8th in one of the Omaha Hi freerolls, though I regularly make pretty deep runs. I think the key is, like with any freeroll, play tight in the beginning, and a little looser in the later stages of the tourney. Compared to other freerolls that I've played in (FTP's comes to mind), Carbon has a pretty hardcore blind structure, so you really need to make the cards work for you as best as possible.

Anyone else notice how the freeroll schedule has changed, though? I miss the Badugi freeroll (and late registration didn't hurt, either...). I'm also curious about how the payouts work, now, since it looks like that changed, too. Has anyone actually cashed in one of the Carbon freerolls lately?
