I have been playing the Carbon poker free-rolls and definitely enjoy them, except of course for the constant 1st hour donkfest. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask.:)

I've cashed out there. Over 6 figures post black friday (ROW Player). I've also been on Carbon since 2007 and received many cash-outs when I lived in the USA. Carbon is legit.

have one question;

since freeroll is a donkey feast, so how will u deal with the card dead during the freeroll, especially when blinds are high and stack are not that short, eg during 25-40bbs, with 30 hands in a row like 27,29....LOL

thank you

do you play another game on the side to get through the first hour? this way your not tempted to play hands you wouldnt normally play being card dead,bored etc.

Well playing in big tournaments like the Carbon Poker freerolls definitely helps you learn how to survive. It's a grind but so is any big tourney.

I do generally work, watch t.v., or play a slow video game while I'm playing to keep me out of the bs hands. But I am starting to learn patience which is key in any form of poker.

Fold IMHO.... look for spots to min-raise regardless of cards and steal blinds from tight defenders, especially when antes have kicked in

I don't feel like the Carbon Freerolls are worth the time now. $13.50 for first? and you have to spend like 4 hours? Definitely look for other options. PokerOwned and this website(once you get enough posts) is better.

I can't seem to get past fun steps 2, what can i do to improve my game? are there freerolls that only have 1 stage of play? I usually end up taking first in funstep 1 but thats probably because of the skill level of the players in the first stage

the skill level doesnt go up much in the step 2s but the all ins usually slow down a little bit...i keep getting beat by 2 or 3 outers on there half the time then go on tilt lol....try playing every hand slowly and let them make mistakes and pounce when u have a made hand. obviously gotta change it up when the blinds get too high though.

At least they pay cash now. I remember when they awarded tournament tickets that only worked in selected games.

There will always be donkeys and fish, that's why you must learn to deal with them.

It's still fun for a while

not any more [disappeared from site]

I liked the HORSE and PLO games which usually had a smaller field and slower pace. I'd usually spend some time on Amazon Mechanical Turk which is good for $2/hr - it kept me away from action hands which seemed to usually go against me and gve me a feeling I wasn't "wasting my time".

The payout wasn't worth the time although it was fun and a way to get some small amount on the site without throwing money at it
