Okay, I am not a conspiracy theorist and have little patience for those thinking sites are rigged, BUT I have witnessed an incredible run of Broadway draws coming through - and usually requiring runner-runner. Lest you think I am just bitching about bad beats, MOST OF THE TIME IT IS ME WHO IS THE BENEFICIARY - like 5 to 1. Inside, open ended, it just hasn't mattered. Or even if I'm not in the hand I am just waiting for it and sure enough some guy rivers the Q he needed.
Am I nuts??? I sure don't want to get into the habit of chasing inside straights to the river.
Anyone else notice any odds defying run or similar?

Whatever you may be seeing is just a combination of different variances.

I have been very unlucky at Merge as well. I think a lot of it is how the low buy in tournaments are set up. Most of them are turbos which add a lot more luck into the game.

Carbon has been crazy. As of about 10 minutes ago I am running about $18 below in my all in ev over the last 5700 hands playing $4nl. People hitting crazy runner runner hands an inside draws when we get all in on or pre flop. I finally had to quit because I started feeling tilted.

Yes. Be aware of it, and enjoy it, it will not last.

If variance is totally random, and our 'guessing' is also totally random, then from time to time they will sort of synch up. Duration of these streaks will vary.

I use an analogy of being in a sea of randomness with waves of variance being somewhat regular, and my informed guessing being other waves of variance, and these waves, like ripples in a pond, interfere at times, which happen to be rungood streaks or runbad streaks. ;)

Many will call this superstition.
