So I went looking for the early HORSE games, which I used to be addicted to, and they are nowhere to be found.

What has gone on at Carbon in the last month or so? I haven't even seen a thread discussing any changes.

Play money is gone, they upped the prices of some of the games. I'm still trying to figure out more hidden changes.

Not poker related - but on their platform the casino/sportsbook is no longer built in and directs you to the site.

This may be old news though.

Not sure about the HORSE games, sorry. But I can tell you that they upped the price of the minimum buy-in in the sit-n-go section... There used to be as little as $1.10 buy-in sit-n-gos... Now the minimum sit-n-go is $1.50. With anywhere from $1.30-$1.39 going to the buy-in and anywhere from $.11-$.20 going toward the rake. Depending on the format of the sit-n-go, whether it be hyper turbo, turbo, regular, or double up.. I guess in the long run, the increase in rake (at all stake levels) will make them that much more money per month... And to quote one of my favorite artist's, Devin The Dude, it's all about, "the all mighty dollar..."

Another forum said it wasn't going to be allowed private games at Carbon any more. Will CardsChat private games (like the FR and the Friday night buy-in) continue? I hope so!!!

And does anyone know much about Players Only, which is now a Merge skin (I had downloaded it back in the day when it was with Cake, 2008). I gotta say, this changing landscape reminds me of when the original Merge poker room Poker.com initiated Carbon and (for legal reasons) tried to make it the main room of the Merge Network, while poker.com switched to just reviewing and reporting and coordinating (and its poker room became PDC).

I like Merges, but I understand they're giving out a lot of affiliations to wanna-be poker site owners again... And some don't allow folks from certain states, like Missouri (PokerHost guilty of this, among others). I don't like to cause waves, and I'm leery. But I really would like to know what is going on (seems like a lot of positioning for when sites can "legally" re-invade the states). Thanks!

OK, saw revival of the old thread about Carbon shutting down private games (same rumor same time last year? someone not wanting to pay affiliates?). Happy to hear Dakota say that our Carbon games are in no jeopardy. Rah!!!!!!!!

Still wouldn't mind answers to my other queries, like PlayersOnly definition/opinion. Does CC have download for it? And I wish CC had some games for us Yanks on weekends; all the action seems to be PStars, Party and other World sites. I gotta move to some island somewherre ... ;)

Never run across this before, but apparently Carbon has a limit of 18 tables, and preregistration counts as a table.
