hi, i just tried to log in to my pokerstars account there and it says i can't because i am logged on on another computer. i am not. wtf is going on? i have mailed support, and i checked to see if there was any tournaments being played but it says there isn't just incase someone hacked. at worst if i was hacked then i can surely cancel any withdrawls or whatever. maybe i am over reacting but got a decent amount in my account and kind of f**ked if anything is up.

you can pretty much Rest assure that any attempt to withdraw money to another account or address
will need document proof.

And also any method of fraud such as funds transfer to another member will be traced back to the player and re-instated,
you use no other device?

Keep us updated anyway im sure all will be a mix up or system fault for login

cheers for reply man :) was really worried tbh but turned out it was a 'delayed logout' or something. so i hadn't logged out properly but i mailed them and they logged out for me and i was able to get back on. read a story about how one guy had his $14k roll dumped, like instead of transferring to another player, they go on a $5k and $2k cash game and basically dump the chips. Pokerstars don't do anything about this so your money is gone if this happens. ordered myself one of those rsa security tokens straight after i read it haha. has to be worth the fpp's :) ty for your concern though :D

Cool glad to hear it wasn't fraud especially for a decent sum of money, I can see how that makes it hard to get the funds back. Dumping them.

I Guess this is possible if you had no way of withdrawing. like made a bankroll from freerolls you could basically dump them to a friends account etc.

yeah you could do that. i am not 100% sure on the policy Pokerstars have on this, like if they found out it was all to the same person and other players reported it i think they could freeze your friends account too. as i said not too sure but yeah, it's a bit dodgy haha.

Wish I'd seen this post earlier because this ^ is almost always the problem/reason. I've had this happen to me often on other sites (mostly on iPoker network sites).

yeah it was the 1st time it has happened to me so i didn't know what was going on. but tbh i am kind of glad i got that scare because i didn't realise some of the aspects of online poker security.

I'm going to buy one of those rsa security tokens, does it work ok?

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/features/security/rsa-token/faq/

yeah that's the one, glad you are ordering it too. i am pretty sure the $40 worth of fpp's or whatever it is is certainly worth it if it secures someones account far better than any password/ pin code.

currently waiting on it being delivered think they said it would be around 4 weeks :) but i remember 'Acoimbra' the pro on Pokerstars mentioning ages ago how he had one and everyone should. but i just thought i'd be fine with a password, but these can be changed by someone else so deffoo vital to have this as well :)
