It is not a Cardschat issue, because I tried registering for the USA freeroll, and I get the same error message. Anyone else having this problem? I did have a few mails back & forth earlier this week, explaining that my BF & I each are using a laptop at my place and are logged in and sometimes play the same MTTs. I assured them we are never at the same SNG, STT or cash table. They said don't worry, that is just fine, as long as there is no collusion, bla bla bla. Anyway, they might have accidently screwed with my acct. I just sent them this email:

Hi,

All of a sudden, like the past couple days, I cannot register for tournaments where there is no password. In other words, the USA freeroll, and the private Cardschat freeroll (ID # 1269906360). I keep getting this error message in a new window:

"We could not complete your request at this time.

Please contact support@fulltiltpoker.com"

Please reply and fix this soon. The Cardschat freeroll is in less than 3 hours. Thanks!

Well, it only took an hour to reply, but damn, why can't some of them read?!?!? I had put "there is no password" in bold, and still... This is what she wrote me back:

Hello Beverly,

Thank you for contacting full tilt poker Support.

We are pleased to inform you we have manually registered you to our United States Freeroll at 21.05 (ET).

We're sorry you're having difficulty registering for one of our tournaments.

It sounds like you're trying to enter a private tournament. Private tournaments are not open to the general public, as they have specific entry requirements that are determined by the person or organization hosting the tournament.

If you know you're eligible for a private tournament, make sure you are entering the correct password. While Full Tilt Poker serves as a venue for private tournaments, we do not have access to the passwords or entry requirements determined by the hosts. If you continue to experience difficulty, please contact the tournament host for more information.

Before registering for any tournament, be sure to check the "Status" column of the tournament list to ensure it is listed as "Registering", and not "Announced" or "Restricted".

If you're interested in a tournament listed as "Announced", and would like to know when registration begins, highlight the tournament and review the information in the white Tournament Information box. The Tournament Information box lists the status, start date and time, and total running time.

To register for a tournament listed as "Registering", highlight the tournament in the list and select "Register Now".

Good luck at the tables, and if there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

Regards,

Sarah

So I just wrote back:

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for registering me for the USA freeroll. Please read carefully. That still does not solve the problem for the future. And YES, I am eligible for the Cardschat freerolls, and certainly know it is private, and we like to keep it that way. If you look at my history, you'll see I've played MANY of them. And if you look at Cardschat approved list, you'll find that my name (divebich) is also on that list. Please add me to that freeroll (ID # 1269906360). There is no password. We register the same way as for the USA freeroll. Let me know if you've fixed the problem. Thanks!

Hopefully, someone else there will get it. And soon.

On a couple of occasions I've rec'd the same msg when registering for the USA Freeroll; I would refresh the pg (sometimes 2-3 refreshes needed) & this allowed me to reg -- I figured that it was a FT server issue since I sometimes get the same msg when I'm checking my Tournment History or Promotions pgs...hopefully this is what is also happening in your case (since FT's Support is a tad slooowww these days)?

Hope you were able to reg for the CC Freeroll divebitch.

Hope you were able to reg for the CC Freeroll divebitch.

No, didn't make the freeroll, but at least got it fixed, so I could register for Tuesday.

I was replied to from 'technology', not 'support', glad support passed it on to someone who knew what they were doing. I've had 2 issues with Full Tilt the past week, and they've been great about getting back to me very quickly. The part below that helped was this (my other settings were already as he instructed) BTW, I had never messed with that LAN setting, so not sure why it suddenly happened, but it's fixed.:D :

* Now, click on the tab titled "Connections"
* Click the button near the bottom labeled [LAN settings]; this will open the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings) window.
* If there is a checkmark in the box next to "Automatically detect settings", please remove it.

Hello Beverly,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Technical Support.

We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulties when trying to complete your tournament registration. We can understand how frustrating it may be. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work towards rectifying this situation.

Based on the details provided in your email, I would suggest the following in an effort to resolve this issue:

* Quit all programs and windows, including Full Tilt Poker.
* Open the [Run] dialog box (either from the [Start] menu or by pressing [WinKey+R])
* Type "inetcpl.cpl" (without the quotes), then press [OK]. This will bring up the "Internet Properties" window.

* Now, click on the tab titled "Content"
* Under "Content Advisor", click the button labeled [Disable] (if present)
* Click [Apply]

* Now, click on the tab titled "Connections"
* Click the button near the bottom labeled [LAN settings]; this will open the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings) window.
* If there is a checkmark in the box next to "Automatically detect settings", please remove it.
* When you're done, click [OK].

* Next, click on the tab titled "Programs"
* If it is available, click the button titled [Make default]
* Checkmark the box labeled "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default web browser"
* Click [Apply]

The step described above is important because Full Tilt Poker uses elements of Internet Explorer. Please follow this step, even if you surf with a different web browser; you can always change it back later.

* Click [OK] to close your Internet Properties.
* Restart your computer to ensure the settings take effect.
*****************************************************

Start Full Tilt Poker and see if you are able to complete your tournament registration successfully. However, if you are still experiencing any difficulties, I would like you to visit the following link

http://whatismyipaddress.com

Then use the following instructions to send us a screenshot of the above link open in Internet browser:

1) Press the "Print Scrn" key on your keyboard.
2) Run "mspaint" by clicking on the "Start" button or Windows logo in the corner of your screen, then "Programs" (or "All Programs" if you are using Windows Vista), then "Accessories", and then "Paint".
3) In the MS Paint program, click "Edit" and then "Paste" to paste your screenshot. Please keep the image and its attributes unchanged.
4) Click "File" and then "Save", and save the screenshot in JPEG format to a convenient location.
5) Attach the screenshot file you saved to your reply to this message.

We will review your screenshot and advise you further on this issue.

Hey guys, I'd like to know what the USA freeroll is! Never heard of it.

It is pretty tough to find all the good stuff out there when you play at 4-6 sites.

It starts at 21:05 under the restricted section.
Registration is all day and it is limited to 7500. I am not sure what time it usually fills so the earlier you register the better.
Prize Pool is 250.

What pooffy said. It's a daily freeroll. If you have a hard time finding it, click the date column tab to sort by time. It's the only one that starts at 21:05. Not sure what time it fills up either. Just sign up as soon as you think of it.
