I know us Canadian's are not really hurting for online action, but I'm sure some of us have branched out to some more live tourneys lately with the demise of FTP and all.
On October 27th through the 30th at McPhillips Station Casino in Winnipeg, Manitoba there will be three live tourneys with a combined prize pool of over $600K. The events are:
Oct 27:
12:00pm Start Time
$550 buy-in + $50 registration fee
Maximum number of players: 330
Re-entry (late registration) will be accepted
10,000 starting chips
30 minute blind levels
Play will cease at 2:00am and will resume at 12:00pm the following day
Oct 28:
1:00pm Start Time
$275 buy-in + $25 registration fee
($225 towards the prize pool, $50 towards
the bounty and $25 registration fee)
Maximum number of players: 330
Re-entry (late registration) will be accepted
5,000 starting chips
20 minute blind levels
Play to completion ($50 taken from
the buy-in will be used to pay $50 bounties as players are eliminated)
Oct 29:
12:00pm start time
$1,000 buy-in + $100 registration fee
Maximum number of players: 330
Re-entry (late registration) will be accepted
15,000 starting chips
45 minute blind levels
Play will cease at 2:00am and resume at 1:00pm the following day
I know that aside from myself, some friends of mine from my area will also be playing one or more of these events. I, personally, will be playing the $300 Bounty tourney, and depending how I finish and how I feel at the time might also take in the $1000 Championship game as well.
So are any other Canadian Cards Chat members in the Manitoba area going to be playing? I'm looking forward to playing with and against fellow CCers in a live event and maybe even getting a couple of drinks afterwards.
Hope to see some of you there!
