Alright boys, all i can ask is that you forgive me for what im about to say and just offer some advice on the matter.
I really dont play online poker anymore, for good reasons, but here's the story.
I played on the Cake poker network about a year ago, first deposited $100, then eventually another $320 over the course of 3 months or so, i was really unhappy that the minimum withdrawal was $500 via check, because i wanted to withdraw some money when i got to $400, eventually losing it all.
I chargebacked the credit card transactions.
Fast forward to Sept 20, 2012, i got an email from a collection agency in New york, who is now trying to collect the debt of $420.
I really dont have the cash, and i really dont want to pay it.
What can i do in this matter?
Also, what can they do? is this a legal debt, since online poker is illegal in the us? and cake is outside the country??
Can they come against my credit report? (which they have been saying)
Can they do anything in the legal realm?
any positive help is appreciated,
