I just logged on to CAKE & it said I had 2 tickets to play some $1 coinflip HU game (you get dealt one hand.. allin).
Kept sayin' I had another ticket.. & another.. & another.. etc.
I just played 10 of them but WoW talk about variance, lolzz (had guy dominated on a few of them & lost all of those ones, lol ie. K9s vs 92, A6 vs 63o, Q9 v 94).

Kept playing vs. the same player.... lmao.
I checked my balance & sure enough I'm up $8 from the games. (maybe it was more than 10games? idk.. maybe alot more).
Anyone else getting these 'coinflip' tickets?

I've seen these in the lobby and don't see the point of them. I wouldn't buy in but if I got free tickets I obv would give them a go. So, tell us PO, how'd ya get the tickets? Do ya play alot of SNGs on there?

Not really poker, is it.
You're dealt two holecards & then five cards are dealt face up on the board. You make the best poker hand from 5cds. It's 'coinflip' poker, lol... cuz it's like 'flipping a coin'. Although I had ALOT of fun playing them (there were 10 games in all), I wasn't tempted to play any more of them once I was out of tickets. The 'fun' part was watching the huge suckouts - - I played vs the same guy in every one of the games I played in & in a few of them I had him dominated (ie. Q9s v 94o, A8 v 82) & in each of those he won all of them, lol. I think only 2 hands that were ahead preflop actually won. The other guy I was playing was also laughing (we were typing away in chat, both 'lol' alot & making a ton of funny comments at each other). Was more fun than I had on anyother tables this week. Can see how it could be highly addictive. (I think the rake/fee was 7%...ie. prizepool for a $1buyin was $1.86). Dollars adding up on the pokersite FAST!!
I've seen these in the lobby and don't see the point of them.....< because they're 'fun' & are all about the gamble, lol Do ya play alot of SNGs on there?
..... I haven't played a SNG on CAKE network since 2009(<?), while on DoylesRoom.
I had no clue how I got the tickets when I posted this thread. Received an email the day after I played them & discovered it was via a rakeback affiliate. Apparently they're shipping me 10tickets every month now. I'll believe it when I see it but am not complaining obv. (just hope I don't get wired to them) :)

The only thing I get for free from Cake is free War game tickets which I don't use.

do you have a choice of all in or not?

sometime at the end of home games we throw our change in to equal the dollar or two and just everything face up. is it more like that, where you're all in before the deal?

You got them as a Thanksgiving present from a rake site just by filling out your CakePoker username in your profile. I forget which one it was, but I was pretty surprised when I got the e-mail. You got 10 "$1" tickets. I lost my first, won 8 straight and then lost the last one.

They're heads up... and you're all in whether you want to be or not. You flip the cards over... player that ends up with the best 5-card hand gets like $1.80... loser gets nothing.

Funny enough... the site that claims they sent the "vouchers" to me for being "a member of their site and having a Cake Poker account"... isn't acknowledging my e-mail as being associated with any membership on their site.
