Anyone had expieriences with them? I'm thinking of putting a bit of $$ on there to give it a look and maybe see if I could move there. They have good rakeback + also use the Dealt method which is good for a tighter player.

My questions;
  • How fast do they process withdrawals
  • How likely are they to get shut down, go bust, in the next year (I see they operate in the US)
  • Are there any other sites you can recommend that use the Dealt method to calculate rakeback, that don't operate inside the USA

Thanks for replies

Choosing a site based on rb calculation method is not so smart imo.

As for Cake. About a month on withdrawals (sometimes more) and the min withdrawal is $500. All this is based on being in US. No idea if it would be the same for you since you're in UK.

Much better options for you imo.

Why not smart? A good rb deal would be a sizeable % of my winrate. Would you care to mention better options because AFIAK cake is the only pokersite that offers rake on hands dealt method with seems to be a lot better. I'm very willing to look at other sites or other points of view about rakeback if you have any information :)

Thanks for the reply I won't rush ahead with anything then. . . maybe give it a few weeks thinking time first.

A good rb deal is great but moving to a small site with slow payouts for the way they calculate rakeback doesn't make sense.

if your looking for rakeback, entraction network sites like redbet pay 30% rakeback, everleaf minted poker pays decent rakeback, cake network pays 33% but payments are slow.

It can be done, but it really depends on how your account was originally tagged. I would email customer service (or more specifically, the affiliate department), and ask if you can be tagged/retagged.

Manage to stumble on this site and saw this post. I just had to make an account to warn you. DO NOT join cake poker would be my advisement. They only have one cash out method at this point, and that is by check. I have requested 2 checks from their site, and the first one took 5 months to come in. The second one is currently being processed, and it has been 6 months so far. I just received an e-mail today saying that they can't guarantee that my request will be processed. Keep in mind that their website suggests that this process should take 10-14 days, obviously being a lie. With a maximum cash out of $3,000, it will take me more than a couple years to get my money out.

On a side note, I was a player who was invited to all the highest free rakeback tournaments at their site. This means I was one of their largest rake generating players. They seem to care none about their customers, not even their bigger players. This lead me to completely stop playing on their site.

If you're just looking to just play, go ahead. The competition isn't great, but it's not atrocious. If you're looking to make money seriously, steer clear. I wouldn't be shocked if I don't even see all my money, so I just wanted you to know what you would be getting into.

cake is cool and all and fun but its not worth putting money on... I suggest Lock if your in USA, Site runs great, tournments are the best, it has the most traffic in US, and the promotion is the best for deposits... Plus I had a friend that wasn't happy about depositing on cake, who now loves LOCK... Sunday 100,000 gaurentee

Cake is good for running up small rolls from freerolls and trading funds off, that's about it. For now, anyway.

cake just added two Big tournments, 15,000 garenteed for 109$ and 25,000 Garenteed for 250$, but the thing is cake is also the site with the least integrity and comprimising software.... Not sure about Cake?

I have an acct. on Cake & on intertops (initially joined up on both cuz of CC having games on there) & have played a bit on there but not alot.
What I don't like about the site (& main reason I don't play on there more than I do) is that I find when I'm running Cake network, it seems to take alot of CPU resource but I'm typically on 4-5+ sites at a time as I'm playing MTT's. Had hopes of adding in a couple/few from Cake (fields seem real soft from what I've played) but fear of puter jamming up keeps me from bothering with it.

I've never cashed out from Cake (only transferred $'s ... & at least they have p2p transfers that are simple) but hear it takes quite awhile (Intertops is supposed to be much faster if you have to play on Cake network).

Here's an example of why I hate this f'n network.
I'm in a number of games (on variety of sites) I bust out of all of them 'except' am still in a CAKE MTT.. & we're final table bubble.
Two allin on other table... boom.. he's out, so now it's final table time! ... or is it? WTF? Both tables freeze & it now doesn't show me on either one of them???!!!???
I'm sitting in 4th of 10 left but in reality I'm sitting in f'n cyberspace cuz nothing is happening!!! I then have to log off... log on... log off... log on & finally I'm seated. Fortunate to be still sitting 5th of 10 left... but wtf?!?! That is just soooo pathetic.

this ^ is the sort of thing that has me very hesitant to play on there. It's a shame because the play is genearlly SOFT!

Cake is one of my Sites I play. Ive never cashed out so cant speak to that.

The one positive I think is the competition is a bit softer than other sights I used to play. The biggest negative to me is there's just not enough players. Very hard to multi-talbe more than two of the same type sit n gos because it takes a while to fill them up.

Same thing just happened to me again now (should prolly get on a different thread?).
Past the add-on, blinds 125-250... as table breaks up... 'poof'.. I'm left in limbo, two tables showing on my screen & I'm not seated on either one. I 'x' out tables, go to lobby, go to my table & it says 'observe table' so I click on that & I'm seated on the table & it's my turn to act. I'm deep & get dealt AQs in MP.. I raise... & then again nothing. I can write in chat (so I do .. saying "Wtf?.. where am I?). I don't see the hand play out & then have to log off & on & off & on before I'm actually seated & 'playing' again. TERRIBLE! (wasn't out for long.. but still!.. could've been way worse if I'd been short & was getting it in there).

Earlier today it fk'd me over. Got booted into cyberspace sitting 4th of 10 & was only 5th of 10 when I got seated again.. 'but'.. I had lost some chips & got fk'd over at a stage of the game when blinds were HUGE & every hand mattered (potentially). Bombed out in 6th which I felt the software screw-up was partially responsible for.

If you have oppurtunities to play on other sites... I would (don't ask why I'm playin' another one now, LOL).

Hi guys!
Re: Cake
The main reason to play there is that it has more fishy tables upto nl50. I can also recommend Intertops.com - it is also inside the Cake network but has the separate cashier working faster than Cakepokers'.
Re: Lock
I think Lockpoker and Carbonpoker are the leaders among all US-friendly rooms now showing the best traffic and support.

I play on Cake and hate it. I only play there because I couldn't get money on anywhere else and a friend sent me $20. I am up to $200 now, but that is a long ways from the $500 cash out. From what I hear, cash outs work, but take forever.
