I have read where you can buy lock funds at a discount. What do you guys think about this? Would you buy it now seeing as how lock has been in the headlines lately for not paying out?

Thanks for the replies here CC.

Your question is a bit to vague, but I will try and offer some insight. The first one mainly, if your looking at turning a quick profit, by buying and then cashing out, your going wrong. Now if you realize this could be potentially long term, it definitely has some merit to buying the funds for a ridiculous low rate. You can gain experience for basically free, and also at some point and time you may actually get full price for your money. I honestly can't see you going wrong buying lock at so cheap, even if you lose out, you won't be out much.

im curious as to why these sites keep trying to get in the usa market, it obviously does not have the correct laws in place to allow bank wires and easy payment methods, i could not stand waiting the amount of time i heard some people wait to get there checks that then might bounce, also how are they allowed to operate in the usa? wouldn't the doj shut them down, if not why don't they, seems they are just as bad as what full tilt was back in the day, even though nowadays full tilt to me is the best site! things change i hope the usa players can play on all the sites and stop this idiotic system of not letting people do what they want to do with their time

Revolution's tournaments have had a LOT of overlay lately. They even took their $125+9 game down to 60k guaranteed (and still have an overlay!)

There is some risk involved but being a member of cardchat will help because they have been able to help get a lot of peoples money off lock. Also you have to take into consideration they have a 15% to 20% play through requirement before you can cash out your money. I am also considering trading some money for lock because I think it could be a great investment.

Someone who does this will go to the bottom of the list which is VERY long. I am trying to help people who have their own money tied up at Lock. :)

Maybe some of us CCer's should get together and buy Lock poker site, that way we own it, and can make sure it's run correctly! There are 100,000 of us if we each through in 10 bucks that's $1,000,000, just an example. So you can get the idea. I mean the way things are going, the selling of the site should be cheap!Maybe someone should start a post to see how many of us would pitch in a small amount to buy .

Why would I go to the bottom of the list for that? A lot of people come to CC and make accounts just to get quicker cash outs and they would go before me? It would still be my money there anyways because its not like I will get it for free.

Also just looked at the thread and saw that a ton of the people who are requesting cash outs at lock through CC have under 50 posts. Maybe its time to have a post requirement or something. I have even heard at other forums that CC can help you get cash outs at lock from other users.

Read the bolded part. This is taking up a LOT of my time and I have zero interest in assisting anyone who is trying to make money off of this situation. You are free to do it of course and I don't condemn you for it - but don't ask me to help you withdraw it. I am very busy. :)

I have yet to get to the people with no posts who have just come here for cashouts. Pretty sure I can prioritize my own workload. :)

Yes because having under 50 posts is clearly a greater crime and a generally more douchey thing than someone using a process that is intended to help people with money genuinely tied up at Lock as their own personal profit-making scheme.

It's all a shame that Lock as slow withdraws, I like their software the best, I can't stand the anonymous of Bovada and BCP interface is confusing.

If they starting paying more quickly the would have tons of traffic on the site.

I think every US facing site is full of fish though.

Before Ultimate Bet/Absolute went under, players would talk about how soft it was there compared to other sites. Turned out, many of those accounts were created by company staff, not real players.

But even so, when you hear it in a few places, it starts to stick (branding), so it's just a cheap trick to really get more players on a dying site.

I think if you ask the Cardschat Black Chip players how the games are over there, you'll find many that say they are full of fish as well.

Support sites that take care of their customers and payout in a reasonable time frame. Cardschat offers several: Bovada and Carbon Poker for instance.
