Late inMarch, I had to go into the hospital for about a week(got out April 2nd). Since, I've been having to go in about an hour twice a day for treatments. So, my poker time has been limited, and frankly, I've been in a slump. I feel my play was listless and uninspired. So, last night I decided to try something different, so I entered a $1 buy in fixed limit Omaha H/L MTT on PS. I figured something out of my usual might shake my doldrums and clear the cobwebs out of my brain.

After more than 6 hours of play, I WON! Yep, 1st in a field of 351. It's my first MTT win in a LOONG time, and wow did it feel great. Especially since it's not one of the games I usually concentrate on, annd I feel that helped me by forcing my attention on the task at hand. True, it's a small tourney, (1st only paod $95), and I was up all night(last hand got dealt about 5:35EST), but it ended a stale playing streak, and hey, a win's a win, right?

Excellent. Nice win, congrats. Glad to hear it turned out so well based on the slump you've been in. Maybe this will be the upturn that you needed.

not only the upturn you needed, but you just may have found a game that you are good at and probably can win consistantly.
In short, your slump may have had something to do with your choice of game.
And congrats on the win.
