Hello, I Am Going To Be Depositing $500 On Either Bovada Or ACR. I Don't Want To Deposit On Both At The Moment. I'm Thinking I'm Going To Be Mostly Playing Tourneys With A $3-10 Buy In. What Is Your Opinion On The Softer Competition? I Am An Above Average Player... I Might Even Play Some 1-2 No Limit. I Seem To Be Better At Tourneys Online And Way Better At Cash Games Live. Thanks!

I would have said Bovada... and they probably have a slight edge still, but the software is horrendous currently. They're both fairly soft. Bovada has more traffic. Software on ACR is better. Bovada has visa Fast Fund withdrawal option. ACR from what I can tell has a free check and bitcoin options. I have not made a withdrawal from ACR yet (haven't made a deposit either as I'm doing the zero to whatever thing). Bovada withdrawals are really the jam though. I guess I'd lean towards Bovada but be prepared to hate the software update they made recently. It's really laggy.

Based on your described game selection, ACR is the spot for you. They have awesome tournament selection, super weak competition, and a good platform to play on. I'd recommend Bovada for cash games only.

ACR & Bovada is like comparing apple & oranges.

On ACR you will be dealing with HUDs, game selection, and etc.

Bovada I heard has a lot more traffic, but you will be dealing with anonymous players. So it will be up to you to decide which kind of format you want to deal with.

I don't like anonymous players and I use a HUD on a regular basis so I prefer to play on poker software like Black Chip Poker & ACR.

ACR for the Win !!! Better site, better software, better promotions, and most impotant, BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Winning Poker Network really really really cares about their customers, and it shows. Believe me.

Also, the 4th poster said its a $60 dollar withdraw fee ... but thats only if you use western union for a RAPID transfer. You can request one free withdrawal check each month ... for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I believe it takes two weeks, but hey, free is free.

I prefer bovada . there are ring games + tourneys aplenty ! I like the anonymous format , which makes data tracking close to useless . I've not had an issue with the recent software changes and gotten my payout checks promptly with no fee .

So I'm not the only one still experiencing chopping performance with Bovada software?

Bovada vs ACR

What are your opinions on these two rooms and which one would you play over the other?

The variance is really high on Bovada. I hate the anonymity Cuz I like to use a hud. I can't argue that Bovada isnt Full of horrible players so when you run good it's nice but expect to show down.

I've played on both but have had better success on Bovada.

ACR-

Pros: Better software, their own version of spin n go, eligible for rake back deals, more FR action.

Cons: Low tournament and SNG volume, no "zone, zoom, or rush" style games, linked to a screen name.

Pro or Con depending on your style/view: Many "extra long" late reg of 3-5 hours with rebuy and add on, so very very long tourneys. Static tables only.

Bovada -

Pros: More fish as it's a sports betting site with poker instead of a poker site with some sports betting, Zone Poker, more traffic in general esp in tournaments,

Cons: Software is glitchy lately and crashes/freezes at times, bet buttons/slider isn't very precise, No rake back allowed.

Pros/Cons depending on your style/view: Good points system to redeem for tourney or SNG tickets, Anonymous play which limits use of HUDs, limits getting reads/notes but attracts more and more fish I think.

I played for longer on ACR (under the BCP banner) but have easier had much more success on Bovada.

+1 This sums it up for you. I personally like Bovada more than ACR. Even with the glitchy software. Bovada has a lot more traffic and better tournaments.

Im new to ACR maybe a week there, but played Bovada for a month and a half or so now.

I would agree with that same statement as above.

I have found that ACR has less crazy big hand vs big hand and also way less river suck outs. I think it is part of the bovada software honestly, as ACR's software does not seem to be doing this same thing at all. There are just as many crazy people pushing in all the time, but way way way more river bad beats. Also i see way more AA vs KK vs 44 on Bovada, with the 44 going all in preflop and catching the river 4 or same situation but with 10 10 and 10 on the river. It happens alot in cash games, but honestly i see it in tourneys just as much.

Could just be variance, but i have seen it happen way too many times for it to be a coincidence. So if you are gonna play on Bovada you really gotta watch out for that landmine as well as all the other landmines that you usually watch out for. It will take adapting to that sites particular ins and outs.

ACR will grow more and more too. Bovada software is terrible right now.
