Has anyone done very well on Bovada? I'm curious because I've been playing on here for about a year now and I haven't been able to make very much money. If I make money I lose it usually the same day on a bad beat or I just get in to a crazy hand which seems to happen on that site a lot anyway. I play micro stakes usually .5 .10 or .10 .25 cash game tables but have been losing at those recently. I also like tournaments but do about the same as I do in cash games just make some money then lose it right back. I would like to get some people hopefully to talk about their experiences with Bovada whether it be about losing or making money on the site. Thanks for any feedback!

Problem I find with Bovada is the hard grind is rewarding, then some new player pops in you get a monster starting hand and they push with poop and river you.

Bovada are a reputable brand overall. They are part of the bodog group and I have used them in the past for sports betting.

something very fishy happening in bovada site

All hands are fixed, you cant win and if you do then in a monster hand someone will river you with 72o. so hands are not ramdom and a lot regulars players to the site are exploiting all the new players and seems to be a lot collusion in the site.

I have been playing for 1 1/2 years but lately I had seen a lot of this crazy hands on me but to others players this is not normal.

I agree with the person who started this thread.

sorry for my English. lol.

Bovada is fine, and the probably the softest U.S. room out there.

I'm still trying to finish this up, but you can get a rough view of a review on bovada:

http://www.acepokersolutions.com/bovada-poker/bovada-poker-review.html

I started playing there a long time back. I've cashed out plenty from there, paid for my honeymoon a few years back when I grinded on it for a couple of months.

Cash outs are good, and players are generally bad. But like all sites, they are getting better all the time.

I've had the exact same experience. While Bovada is an earnest company they can't keep up with the hackers, so yes you're being cheated. Here is the proof:

I haven't been able to take much money off bovada. And now with all the talk of bovada being a cheat site, don't think I'll be back. My advise, if youre a us player, take your money to betonline

I play bovada

I deposited < $100 on Bovada last March. I earned $50 in deposit bonus and by min August my account was about $35. I missed the poker boom, never played before, but set myself to the goal of learning the game. I got a little better a little bit at a time but I made some adjustments in August that had big results. By the end of October I was 4 tabling the .02/.05 game and winning about 12.5 big blinds per 100 hands( estimate 25,000 hands Aug-Nov). I have since moved to the .05/.10 game account balance ~$188 (plus a couple live wins to add to my bankroll). I can attest that the .02/.05 game is beatable and am doing just as well at .05/.10 so far.

Moral of the story: If you are losing try to find the holes in your game and adjust.

I like playing bovada. Espiceally it good to come home after work and relax playing poker there. The great plus for me is ability to use hud (poker catcher).

I would rather throw myself off a building than play at BOL. Go to ACR.

I've heard of Bovada before. Would you recommend it to a semi-beginner player?

It's a good room, but if you dislike an anonymous system it may not be for you, one thing is for sure I would way recommend this site over say WPN where you will unfortunately get ate up by the sharks there. Players that play 400nl play down to 25nl for the Beast promotion.

There's nothing wrong with Bovada. People who think so are typically losing players who will gripe about any site they are on. Instead of complaining about the site, find the holes in your game and try again. I play there 30-40 hours per week and do just fine.

Soft tables. Play when football is on to take advantage of fish. Anonymous tables take a bit of getting used to but I have no complaints.

I do the $5 sngs and find them pretty profitable. They are pretty soft and easy to cash in. I can't speak for cash or mtts.

An interesting read for sure, but it comes with its own set of concerns.

Who are these "freelance" people conducting the research? Who is the "large company interested in entering the US poker market" that has hired the team?

Surely these important details, which are directly related to the trustworthiness of the study, aren't worthy of hiding. The fact that they omitted these details screams suspicion.

Furthermore, they openly state to colluding and collecting over $12,000 and setting up a winning bot to play. Proof of concept be damned, do they not care about the players they scammed in the process? Any working scientist/researcher worth their salt would not engage in such unethical behavior.

This article is fishy at best.
