Just got this email from Bovada. Called their Customer Support and they said it was some type of system glitch.

'Hey xxxx,

This is a reminder that your account has been inactive for near or over 18 months. In accordance with our Terms of Service your account will be locked and its balance of $ 71.09 removed in 3 days if not reactivated.

To avoid having your account locked and its balance removed, you must place a bet or request a payout.

If you have any questions please contact our 24/7 Customer Service team by phone at 1-888-263-0000.

I got the same email, except the amount listed on mine was $70.37 (not the amount I have on Bovada). I've definitely used the site within 18 months - not that it even existed 18 months ago. Glad I wasn't the only one to get the email.

It has come to our attention that some active players mistakenly received a note from us stating that their account has been inactive for some time, and that it will be locked within the next three days unless there’s activity in it. Please accept our apologies for this misunderstanding and rest assured that these accounts are not being locked as mentioned.

although active myself I'm still a lil worried that you are closing accounts and taking money from inactive players and only giving them 3 days notice .   shouldn't you send a ck to last known address or something ?

We have this policy due to our licensing commitments that say after 18 months of inactivity balances must be zeroed out. This can be found in Point 3.8 of our Terms of Service. We do update players prior to us closing accounts, and should the player come back to re-open the account after the timeframe, we will reinstate the account and full balance.
