Bovada FOLD button

Maybe i broke mine from constant folding but has anyone noticed that when you press the fold button before its your turn, Then when its your turn to act fold,call,bet buttons appear as if you never pressed the fold button?

That's because somebody raised after you clicked it.

The fold to any bet button will auto fold for you regardless.

Yeah, a little annoying. If you are planning on folding to a 100 bet, you are definitely folding to a 400 raise. As JusSumguy said, you gotta click the 'fold to any bet' button

I noticed it too, after I had clicked fold someone raised and I had to fold again.

Really makes no sense though, As said above if im gonna fold to 100 why would I call 400?Thanks for the info guys.

Sometime fold doesn't work for me either. I think it seems to happen if someone raises before it gets to me.

What does work is clicking the tiny checkbox above the buttons... says something like fold to any bet.

i think if your mouse is anywhere near the preselect buttons the software is sensitive to it ...

i have more trouble when i play limit tables

yeah the check/fold button seems to have a mind of its own and has for years. would have been nice if Bovada addressed this first rather than the fire and lightning. oh well, good luck ccers

Lets say you hit the fold button and the field folds to you with the table donk raising and is the only other person in the hand. Would you like the opportunity to change your mind?

It's proper. Things change, and we need to be able to change as well. But, if you're adamant about folding, the fold to any bet button is there for you.

so you're telling me the "check mark next to the fold button" is really a "i'm thinking about folding, but let me change my mind" button?

that's ****ing ridiculous. don't check it, if you think you're playing against a donk you're gonna pull from. you know, like poker.

also, it pulls the same shit if you're big blind and hit "check/fold"... and if it checks around to you, you don't get the "change your mind?" option of suddenly deciding to bet against the small blind....

how does any of this make sense to you?

Does everything have to make sense? Use it or don't use...or use the fold to any option instead. Nothing to argue over. I sense a lot of hostility in your post toward someone who has over 2000 times more posts around here than you.

Thank you for this, makes perfect sense, but just never saw the box, or maybe saw it and ignored it.

it's a stupid way of justifying a stupid thing. and "does everything have to make sense?" is something a stupid person would say also. Of course things have to make sense, we're talking about money here. the opposite is not making sense, which is absolutely stupid, from the definition of not making sense.

Easy killer! Getting so upset over such a trivial matter that doesn't actually relate to whether your poker game is profitable is ridiculous. I`d hardly agree with you that I`m a stupid person...but perhaps I'm biased. You say it has to make sense because it deals with money but how is the fold button affecting whether you make money or not based upon what the OP mentioned. Coming onto a forum being a ***** to others with one post is what a stupid person does.

if i click "fold" i should expect it to fold me. if i click the check mark next to "fold" i should expect it to fold me... right?

so if i have 7,2 off suit in middle position, and i click the check mark next to "fold" and go and check my email, why in the world should everyone at the table wait for me? why in the world should my table image be ruined by my apparent lack of activity. if i cared about the hand, if i thought there was someone i could get something from, i would've played the hand like a normal poker player, and not planned on folding....... but i wanted to not play the hand, like the check mark next to "fold" means... right? but no.

you're right about the coming onto a forum and acting like a ***** thing though. i'm sorry about that fellas. it's none of ya'lls faults... but i think it's stupid to justify it. it's a bad poker mechanic in general, and i feel like the "support" for it, promotes bad poker.

Which is why the fold to any bet option is there. When you pre select to fold, call, etc...it's doing so under the conditions that the current bet remains consistent. Once a raise is made that consistency is lost. Your basically choosing to fold under the current conditions and a raise changes those conditions. You nay never find a need for it but some other player may.

Use the fold to any bet option to fold regardless of what happens at the table and whether the current conditions change.

Players limping in for minimum bet is a conditional situation. A player raising changes the situation.
