I am coming back into online poker after a few years away. Going to deposit on either Bovada or Carbon. I was hoping for some feedback about these two sites.

I have read both reviews and they seem to be similar. I am not sure I like the no user name play at Bovada, or am I wrong on that? It seems that you can't identify users on Bovada, everyone has a random #? I usually get to know the scene in my buy in range, and not knowing who I am playing seems to be a problem.

Going to deposit today, so I am hoping for a little feedback.

Should I be considering any other site? I am a US player.

Thanks.

I've never played on Bovada so I can't speak on the games there, however I've read they are somewhat fishy due to the sportbook players. Carbon is full or regs and the games are pretty tough imo. Nothing like they used to be a couple years ago. I'd say Carbon though if you want to put in volume. Their customer support is good from my experience. Maybe look into BlackChipPoker or ACR. The rake is nuts though on those sites and the traffic is pretty poor at the cash games if you play low micros and there is barely any full ring traffic. Not sure what game you play.

Whatever you do stay away from Lock.

I play mainly on Carbon, but I'm starting to play on Bovada; and prefer Carbon. You might try Lock or Juicy.

If knowing your opponents and keeping detailed notes is an important part of your approach, don't play Bovada. Other than that, the software is good and they have a nice variety of games. But the anonymous tables is a deal-breaker for some people.
