Personally, I do not like how on Bovada everybody is displayed as a number rather than a screen name... I like to get to know players, talk to them, and take notes while I play cards with them and Bovada does not really allow that... Just a thought of mine, what is everybody else's thoughts on this?

I didn't like it at first, but have found myself getting used to it. It does bother me more on the cash tables as I have played there off and on for years and have gotten to know some of the regs.

Agreed. Do not like it. I enjoyed bodog before they made the switch.

Bottom line is, you can't tell who you are playing. Collusion is more apparent and obviously anything goes!

I reallllly wish they would go back, but that will never happen.

I read their breakdown on the reasons behind it, but I too very much dislike the anonymous poker idea. Collusion for one, yes this is probably the hardest things for me to get over. But I also used to take the time to make notes on players and really rack up a history against people. Now it is pretty much a waste of time unless you are in one of their larger format MTT's, and even then you may never see the guy again after taking a few minutes of your time to reconstruct a meaningful hand. /rant

Ever since the UB scandal I have always worried about house players and what have you. With anonymous tables, I always worried they had super users just owning people. Atleast with user names, you could keep track of whos who and follow them around and see how they continue to play. Really can't stand the anonymous players!!!!!

You can download your hand histories afterwards and see what every player at the table had. This would make collusion at lot more obvious to spot since you can self-police. Whether or not the site does anything about it, who knows.
