As a New York player my options are limited. I heard these two are some of the best with deposit bonuses and so forth. Which is better? Is there a better option? Just looking for reliable software, easy deposit/withdrawal, and playable from new york. Also would be helpful if it has a Mac client.
Thanks

Bovada looks better, just for the sake of the strength of connection.

sometimes, my America cardroom/blackchip lobby frozen...in Windows 7

but if u don't like anonymous table, America Cardroom is better.

if you can get over the anonymous thing and no p2p transfers, I say Bovada, they have excellent customer service and fast payouts.
I don't have as much experience with BCP and ACR but for their cashouts you can get a debit card and get the withdrawel in days, but you pay 5 bucks a month for the card, from the way I understand it.

Bovada is the place to be. You will notice real quick the fair play since no one is using HUD.

As much as I hate the anonymous tables, I'd for sure go with Bovada (especially if you're a low buyin MTT player... there's just not enough tourneys on ACR imo)

Can ya tell me how you 'notice' this fair play difference?

I'm from Cincinnati, OH & I use both those sites. I tend to play Bovada more b/c it doesn't support Poker Tracking software. Bovada also has much quicker withdraw times and pretty good bonuses, I also feel they offer the better selection of tournaments, in fact its THE reason I play there 80% of my time. That is why I would have to recommend Bovada.
I played both sites on Win7 & 8 without many freeze problems.

From what I've heard Bovada is the best site to play on for US players, but I haven't tried it out yet. I also live in NY so Im eager to hear if anyone is familiar with online gambling laws of NY.

I just read a thread with a similar question so I'm going to copy/paste my opinion here too.

For a US player the easy choice is ACR or Black Chip Poker on the WPN network. They offer a debit card for withdrawals that is the quickest way a US player can get cash in hand. You can take it to an ATM and withdraw the balance. Besides being extremely quick (takes days, and up to two weeks at the most), the card has very very low fees to use. I will say the rake is kind of high, but the regulars at NL25 or NL50 are very easy to exploit.

I play on Bovada now.. It's nothing like pokerstars and Full Tilt, which I used to enjoy before Black Friday, but it's still a decent site.. The customer service and payouts are indeed good, as I was able to receive a check last week after only requesting it about 6 days beforehand (fastest I've ever seen for a poker site) and have never had to wait more than a month for one. Problems include the lack of traffic and the constant players that only stick around a table for a few hands then leave (and probably come back 5 min. later due to anonymity).

I would like to hear opinions on other details about ACR and any other American-able sites out there? How are the bonuses, gameplay, and tournaments?

I play on both Bovada and BCP, imho Bovada is the better of the two. The comp seems a bit softer maybe its the no use of a hud.

I was able to cash out 6 days also with Bovada for $300.00 it was great customer service experience. They also waive the $50.00 fee one time for the month for a courier check which is nice. I live in MI so I cannot see any problems someone from NY would have. So go deposit and start earning your bankroll.

How long have you been playing on the winning poker network? Do you play on true poker or acr?

I played on BCP before the move to WPN. When this happened, I hated the software so much I played on Lock for many months. I still have money stuck on there and got fed up. Decided to get back onto WPN 4 months ago and it was a great decision.

I would go with ACR for the debit card withdrawal option.

I'd go with ACR for the rakeback. Seriously, it can easily double your profit. Plus it's almost as fishy as Bovada (though any site being as fishy as bovada is tough), and it's not anonymous.

I would recommend Bovada, as long as you don't mind the whole anonymous thing. If you do mind it, then America's Cardroom is definitely the better choice of the two. Personally though, I would recommend Black Chip Poker over America's Cardroom. I feel like the action on BCP is better than the action on ACR but maybe that's just me :p

Why all the cap games on ACR??? Are we playing NL or spread limit? It kinda voids a lot of advantage skilled players have and makes the games less interesting/more crapshooty.

Am I wrong here?

Which HUDs work on ACR??

Sorry, I play 4 tables during cash if possible and use of a HUD is helpful and definitely cheating or whatever a lot of folks think it is.

I would play them both. They do not have so many games that you have to end up playing one or the other. I like Bovada quick payouts and promotions like CashPerSuit.
