I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a bounty tourney offered online.

Working in IT I know the programing behind this would be quite a chore, but they are fun. I was in Las Vegas a few months ago and the Orleans has one that I entered. It was a multiple rebuy tourney, but you got $5 for each person you knocked out.

I got onto a rebuy crazy table early one and got a little carried away. I didn't finish ITM, but I came close. And to win $5 3-4 times at least gave me some concolation.

Anyway, I would really like to find one of these online.

Any help?

There is a regular "Headhunter" tourney on jetset
they are fun to play in. It is excactly like you just explained.
the buy in's range from $10 to $100.
the $100 headhunter is by far the best, the bounty gets up to $90 on some ranked players. the problem is that most people are reluctant to call an all in so as not to give up their bounty. but check it out anyways :)
good luck and happy hunting.

bounty poker is when certain (or sometimes every) player(s) have a prize on their head.

If you knock that player out of the tournament then you win that prize.

Typically this is usually money but sometimes if an author of a poker book is in the tournament you can win a free copy of their book.

If you watch poker on Television, one of the tourneys, (I think it was in the WPT Shooting Stars of Poker) was a bounty tourney. In this case, all the big name professionals had a bounty on their head. I think it was a way to get more 'dead money' by giving non ITM hopefuls a way to recoup some of their entry fee. If the someone knocked out a poker professional who had a bounty, they got I think $1000 and a T-Shirt. During the episode, they show poker stars signing the T-Shirts. I think it was Phil Ivey who was the only one left at the final table to be knocked out, and an amateur did it, so they show him asking for a signature after beating the guy...

The one at the Orleans had a bounty on every player. So if you knocked anyone out you received $5. At the Orleans, basicly they give you a card and then the manager comes and gives you a $5 chip. I still have thje grimy one they gave me for the first guy I knocked out.

Does anyone know any other B&M casinos that offer bounty Tourneys?

The one at the Orleans is every day and they get quite a few entrants. The late ones on the weekend are not bounty tourney's though. They are really fun and I would encourage you to play if you can find one.

For anyone who is interested, I was visiting DoylesRoom yesterday and saw that they are going to have an upcoming bounty tourney.

I don't play there, but this might give me the impetus to sign up.

Has anyone played in one of their Bounty Tourneys before that can give a general description of how it works/worked in real life?
