I definitely think there are some bots lurking about in the rooms but I don't think there are many. :D

It seems to me that if the bots exist, then only at low limits. At large limits, it seems to me that everything is being checked. Each person, hidden behind a nickname, is displayed.

I do not think there is a successful BOTS that is working in all poker sites. I think there is no evidence to prove what you say and I think that until now no one has checked it, it is difficult to believe that a poker site does it to lose customers making them losers to all, in the end they would be left without players

I've always wondered this, especially since on sites like ignition players' names are hidden so you really have no idea who you're playing against.

There are bots on pokerstars but probably far fewer than you think there are. People playing well/ fast/ consistently/ getting lucky doesn't make it at all likely that they're bots. If you actually have evidence to suggest that a specific player is a bot then you can send an email to PokerStars support and show proof, but for the most part I wouldn't worry about it.

Bots are present, but they are playing no differently than any human. They are set up mathematically to fold, make calls and raise. They are able to be beaten. Does not matter who or what you are playing in a hand, it is your hand that decides whether you are the winner or the loser in the end. Thee only way to cheat is to see everyones hole cards at the table. That has already be found and proved. But is not normal to see that a lot.

bots

lol they have already proven there are shit tons of bots out there, stats and them playing 24hrs a day is enouph proof. acr has very many and its always going to be that way and they will just keep getting better.
the biggest problem with a bot is. is thy play with no emotion so they do have a huge advantage there.
now if the pokersites put in there own bots to ad traffic or fill tables who knows. just be careful. and wacth the usernames, if there pretty simalr you may want to watch out.
like tonight at bol 100 tourney buy in had 13 players. and there were two playrs one was souporsalad and the chipsorsandwicth that's a little odd. some people don't think when there doing it.

That’s soupsalad and not a bot. He is a REG on BOL.

I always make it a point to talk to the person if at all possible. They can't be a bot if they are talking to you right?

Yes, I`m pretty sure that there are some poker softwares with bots. for an example, 888poker, americascardroom, betonline, tigergaming. I recommend to play only at pokerstars.

You would look for actions that wouldn't be consistent with a live person playing. Extremely long and frequent sessions, a pace of play that doesn't appear to be user controlled, matching stats across similar accounts, etc. You wouldn't look for someone drawing out on you.

Actually now that I reread the op it looks like the post implies that the sites are running the bots and setting it up to take the players money for themselves. That would make this a 'rigged' with 'bots' scenario.

why would a site risk using a bot and losing all its customers when they are already making tons?

I have seen some weird things occasionally, for example I’ve seen this at least twice in the last week on ignition:
People calling an all in with literally nothing.. and when I say nothing I mean like 7 high....
But then they lose of course and I’m like wow that was pretty weird to just dump chips.... I mean shoving as a bluff with a hand like 7 high or 9 high I guess might make a little sense to inexperienced players.... but calling with it? With one card left to come, no draws, and no showdown value?...... just leaves me scratching my head

Cheating can happen like in everything else in life. People find ways to cheat but as soon as it is revealed it wil be punished and blocked. This process is absolutely normal.
If there are bots like how you discribed there are people working against cheating too, they will lose everything and you won't lose much.. but even a bot can't know what will come(if he will hit a set) since nothing can predict the random part. No matter how perfect a bot is he can't see the future.
If he just chase any draw or pay anything with any 2 pair he will hit it sometime like every fish do. So to beat them just bet big cause they will call and bet when you have it (like you do with calling stations anyway).
Good luck in your mission against robots .

It is difficult to prove. That there's a bot next to you after he moved you with the garbage. It's hard to say it's a bot...
