Hey everyone,

This may be me beating a dead horse, but for those who may not know I've found a simple rule of thumb for spotting bots. While we can all generally spot bots by their: poor play, betting styles, aggressive or passive nature, never replying or chatting, etc. On BOL it seems that 9 out of 10 players that show their location (usually from canada or Europe somewhere) are bots. As stated this is not a guarantee but I believe you will find this to be true nearly all the time. Hope it helps

What do you think is best to do with this information? I'd imagine most sites aren't well-equipped to monitor and answer reports about bots...

sad truth

Sad truth is multiple poker sites actually admit to having their own bots in play. Their scapegoat is that it helps fill tables especially during non-peak hours (which is true). However, when they have a gazillion in the free roll tourneys it means one thing... IF THEIR BOT CASHES, THAT'S ONE LESS PERSON THEY HAVE TO PAY OUT.

This wouldnt be the same as poker stars by any chance.
Most of the players on there represent this style of play.
We are surround by bots and boobs.

Ya know, I haven't paid enough attention on that site yet to figure out which are bots, but I haven't had any trouble getting into the money in BOL freerolls.

I've found a huge amount of Bots at ACR (see my other threads with evidence), and I never could crack the bubble.

To me, playing against bots is like playing in a video game where you only get one life, and your opponent gets 100+. Whoever runs the bots doesn't care which one wins; if any of their bots win, they're happy, while we only have one chance.

And it's a lot harder to catch suspects on BOL, because I don't know of any way to check up on them, unlike ACR, where you can look them up on sharkscope. Is there any site that tracks BOL tournaments?

Why from Canada or Europe? I dont agree with you. DO you know how to hide LOcation at BOL?

Generally unfounded statement!
But when i yesterday played at BOL, that though comes in my mind, that some players play like a bots or fish, donk, or better like a real PRO, who reads your cards, and know when you are bluffing.

I think you misinterpreted what I was saying and took it as being offensive. It's a fact as well as my perception that when locations are shown, they are from these locations more often than not. I'm not claiming these countries use more bots...Hell the location could be bogus as most are.

BOL has a bot problem because i have botted there myself. These sites don't care about bots because they are too small to start banning players who generate rake and activity. I used the bot on fixed limit 6 max cash tables up to 25nl and it crushed it.

Ive been playing bol for years. I was on the bot train for a while but have come to learn through hard work and observation that they are indeed real players. I wish that players outside us would post to clarify. We can chat with them which raises concern.

So is this a program you can buy for your PC? I'd like to research that some more, because there are so many of them on ACR.

Please provide proof of this ^

As far as your initial statement in this thread... as mentioned already 'unfounded statement'. Your 'proof' is ridiculous. Show us some 'real' proof please.

You'd probably be far better off to spend the time on learning how to play.

I wrote BOL on why some show locations, and that generally we think they are Bot. They said the do not allow us to show locations from their software, and that they do that on their server. Its dont jive with me. you cant never get one to talk

Can someone please explain the logic of why someone would play a bot at a $10 freeroll?!?! It makes no sense. Bots at cash tables? Sure. Bots at bigger tournaments? Sure. But all the time when I play a crappy little free roll there are accusations at the table about bots. It just doesn't make sense. If I had a bot, I wouldn't waste my time setting up the bot to win me a cool $2.50.

Because they have around 150 of them and they have won well over $10K in the last year. Plus, they take their winnings and play in bigger buy-ins. Mainly, though, probably because they can and it's funny to cheat the humans. And they are learning how to play better, so down the road, they will be competitive in big money games.
